For many students and graduate students of ZNU, summer is a time not only for rest, but also for self-improvement and additional education. In particular, they actively participate in the international academic programs, increase their professional and linguistic competencies. For example, recently, the second year postgraduate student of specialization «Journalism», the graduate of the Faculty of Journalism Ihor Samokysh returned to Zaporizhzhya from Germany. For almost two weeks, he actively participated in the Summer School "Conflict and Sensory Journalism" within the DAAD Ost-West-Dialog program.
On the 7th of June, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Estonia to Ukraine, Gert Antsu, and and the Project Coordinator for Development, Cooperation and Humanitarian Assistance of the Embassy, Anastasiia Mykhailova, visited the Zaporizhzhya National University. The honored guests met with the Acting Rector of ZNU Oleksandr Bondar, the Vice-Rector for Research Hennadiy Vasylchuk, the Head of the International Department Natalia Kostenko and the Associate Professor of the Department of English Translation Theory and Practice of the Faculty of Foreign Philology Oleksandra Holovko.
On April 7, law students – members of the Zaporizhzhya branch of the Center for German Law – attended a presentation of the scholarship programs organized by the staff of the ZNU Department of International Relations. Such events, with the opportunity for students to raise their level of knowledge of foreign languages and to acquire professional competences, are an important component of the implementation of the concept of academic mobility in our University. The Head of the Department of International Relations Natalya Kostenko and the guest of the event – a regional coordinator of the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Andriy Honcharuk told the participants about the work experience internship in Germany for students of ZNU.
