The representative of the working group from ZNU Associate Professor Katerina Sirinyok-Dolgaryova noted that an official title of the project is Journalism Education for Democracy in Ukraine: Developing Standards, Integrity and Professionalism. The total amount of the grant for the consortium (10 Ukrainian universities and 3 European ones in partnership with the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, and 4 EU NGOs and 2 Ukrainian NGOs including the Ukrainian Students' Association) is almost 800 thousand euros (798,470 - approved budget). The project implementation period is November 15, 2018-November 15, 2021.
“Summer school of bloggers and public journalists” has been held in ZNU recently. Hennadii Vasylchuk has told about the results of it and mentioned that there was an active participation in the project from Oleksandr Holovko, and Svitlany Zapolskykh who are the associate professors of the department of theory and practice in translating from English, and also other workers of the university.
This project is dedicated to those who strongly adverse life events. Also, it is about people who consciously change everything around themselves, see and listen to others, help, support and inspire them, and bring people together as different citizens of one nation.
On the basis of the Khortytska National Academy, a regular training session was held from representatives of the ZNU for representatives of gifted youth - participants of the Summer School of the Minor Academy of Sciences. The event on the topic "Work with information and fact checking" was held by Associate Professor of the editing and publishing department Natalia Tyapkina and Associate Professor of the theory of communication, advertising and public relations department Lyudmila Chernyavska.
From May, 25 to May, 27 in the "School of Tolerance" initiated by the Zaporizhzhia Regional Charitable Foundation "Gender Z", a training session for journalists was held. The focus of its participants was on tolerance and gender equality.
On April 28, Alina Klinku and Maria Donets, freshmen from the Faculty of Journalism visited Lyceum № 62 of the city of Zaporizhzhia. The event took place within the framework of vocational guidance work of the department under the direction of Associate Professor of the Depart of Communication, Advertising and Public Relations Tatiana Ivanets.
The purpose of delegation's visit was to discuss the prospects of cooperation with representatives of our university administration. Vice-rector for scientific work Gennadiy Vasilchuk chaired the meeting.
