December, 18 in Zaporizhzhya National University held the conference of staff members, during which Rector of ZNU, professor Mykola Frolov reported on the implementation of the Collective Agreement in 2015. At the event were attended 214 people – delegates of staff members of our university, representatives of departments, structural departments and the student government. Therefore, at the beginning of the event, the participants agreed that the conference available quorum. This means, that all decisions taken during its work, including the approval of the Rector's report and the recognition of his work during the year as satisfactory, – legitimate.
Zaporizhzhya National University prepared for people a pleasant New Year surprise: at the university on the eve of St. Nicholas Day students opened the main tree. Concert program for guests of the festival organized by talented students work coordinated by the Cultural Center of ZNU. Participation in creative competitions were the representatives of the administration, teaching staff, university employees and their children.
Last week at the Faculty of Social Sciences and Administration held a sociological third studio workshop, where the Dean of the Faculty, Doctor of Philosophy, Professor Maksym Lepskyi told to pupils about what is catfish, what are they and how to distinguish true information from false information. Senior pupils also performed practical tasks and teachers and students of the faculty helped them. The project is supported by Swedish Institute and Project EU-PDUNO (European Union Program of Development United Nations Organization) "Local Development, oriented to the community".
More than 100 students visited Zaporizhzhya Pedagogical College on December 17th to meet with the administration of Zaporizhzhya National University, during which they found out about the conditions of entrance campaign in 2016 and the benefits of entering to the ZNU.
On December 15 students of the Faculty of Management of Zaporizhzhya National University held a social action "For every child - fairytale Mykolaichyk». They visited "Zaporizhzhya Special boarding school № 1" Zaporizhzhya Regional Council with colorful fairytale, concert program and gifts for kids.
On December 16 in the Health club of Zaporizhzhya National University held a final of the tournament on mini-soccer, dedicated to commemorate the former rector, professor Viacheslav Tolok, and the closing ceremony of the tournament finalists and awards.
While in Zaporizhzhya National University Christopher Kelly, Professor of Law at the University of Arkansas (Arkansas University, USA), a days-read author lectures on legal correspondence and art of negotiation for Law Faculty students. On completion his listeners, among whom were students 2nd, 3rd years and graduate, received certificates of participants of the project.
On December 10 as part of a series of scientific events in Economics and Law College of ZNU - "the December readings" - its students took part in the round table "Scientific exploration on the professional discourses foreign language". Organizers of the event were teachers of foreign languages cyclic commission of ELC. The event attended Olena Hrybanova, College director, deputy director for scientific and educational work Olena Artemenko and teachers of English. In addition, the meeting was attended by special guests - Associate Professor of English Philology Olena Luzhanytsia.
Recently in Le Bourget (France) finished Climate Conference 2015, which also took place in the framework of consultation with the Kyoto Protocol. Its purpose was signing an international agreement with keeping the average temperature of the planet at a level below 2° C. To bring the widest possible audience the importance of this global problem, which concerns every citizen of planet Earth, to Zaporizhzhya National University in the framework of the tour visited renowned specialist in the biosphere, Lecturer University of Toulon, a brilliant lecturer, author of the principle of interactive lectures accompanied by animated films and spectacular images on the big screen Dyufer Cyril. The event was held at the university with the support of the French Embassy in Ukraine and Zaporizhzhya center Alliance Française (Director - Ludmila Bogdanovska). Being a guest in higher education also coordinated the representatives of the International Relations Office (Head - Viktoriya Vertegel).
