We will not forget that memorable day
On May 8, at Victory Day’s eve on the Soviet square the meeting, dedicated to the 62-nd anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic war, was held. Olga Urvachova, the head of Zhovtnevy district state administration, opened the meeting. Those veterans who were present on the square were congratulated by Evgen Kartashov, the mayor Zaporizhzhya. He thanked veterans for peaceful heaven and wished them health and long years of life.

ZNU congratulated WW2 Veterans with the Victory Day
The university’s Educational Department, Students Council, and Cultural Club organized the event. The ZNU’s rector Sergey Timchenko said the welcome-word and thank you to the veterans for their feats of arms in the World War II.
The holiday meeting was accompanied with flowers, songs, and the festive mood.
