The project “Bilrgerbeteiligung in Oberhausen und Saporishja” continues for the second year and provides German-Ukrainian cooperation in the scientific and applied areas. Representatives of Zaporizhzhia national university actively participate in this project. The working group of the project includes the vice-rector for scientific work, professor Hennadii Vasylchuk and the Head of the Department of Civil Law, professor Dmytro Yarmolenko.

The students and professors of our university attended the training of the speaker and the head of the public organization «"Center for Mediation and Accounting "Point of View"», director of the "Mirage" audit firm Larysa Tsereteli on Wednesday, October 3 as part of the business incubator of the Faculty of Economics of Zaporizhzhia national university.

According to the representatives of the pre-university department, preparatory courses are the key to the effective passage of EIA and successful admission to the university.  Thanks to the courses, applicants can feel more confident while entering a university. ZNU will help applicants prepare for admission to the academic disciplines, considering that this year entrants pass EIA in 4 subjects.

The Confucius School began its work at the university in last academic year, within the framework of a bilateral agreement between ZNU and Anhui pedagogical university (China).   Everyone, regardless of age, had the opportunity to start learning Chinese and learn more about the culture of this country on specialized language courses.  Not only professors and students of the university, but also residents of Zaporizhzhia, in particular pupils of schools, eagerly seized the opportunity to master the Chinese language together with native speakers and professors.

Recently, the International Scientific Conference "The creativity of the classics: the modern library through the eyes of young librarians"  was held in V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University.The event was organized by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University, Information Resource Center Window of the Kharkiv Regional Methodological Association of University Libraries, Library of the Faculty of Physics, Astronomy and Applied Informatics of Yagellona University.

The representatives of the Scientific Society of Students, graduate students, doctoral candidates and young scientists of Zaporizhzhia national university, accompanied by the vice-rector for scientific work, Hennadii Vasylchuk , visited the exhibition “Germany - a country of inventors: the module '' Research ''”   on October 1, which takes place in the Zaporizhzhia Regional Museum.

Scientists of Zaporizhzhia national university took part in the International Book Festival Book Space 2018, which this year was held for the first time in the city of Dnipro in the framework of the program of Borys Filatov "Cultural Capital".

The seminar “Multilingual Education in Ukraine” on the base of the Faculty of Foreign Philology was made due to the support of the US Embassy in Ukraine and the administration of ZNU, in particular, thanks to the rector Mykola Frolov, the vice-rector for scientific work Hennadii Vasylchuk and the dean of the faculty Halyna Moroshkina. The coordinator of the working group of this event was the associate professor of the theory and practice of translation from English Oleksandra Holovko. Among the honorary guests of the international seminar were foreign language professors, native speakers of English such as Luis Perea (Faculty of Foreign Philology of Mykolaiv V.O. Sukhomlynskyi national university) and Francisco Resta (Slavyansk).

Recently, the opening of the International IT-Forum has been held in the Kozak-Palats exhibition center.  Among the participants were the representatives of ZNU such as the rector Mykola Frolov, vice-rector for scientific work Hennadii Vasylchuk, professors and students of the university. On the opinion of the organizers of this event, the main goal of it is the promotion of high technology among the business of Zaporizhzhia. And also the creation of opportunities for the exchange of experience of businessmen and developers from different industries, as well as the opening of local high-tech enterprises and IT companies for Ukraine and the world.

Opening of the multimedia audience "Laboratory of History of American English" took place on September 28 on the basis of the Faculty of Foreign Philology in ZNU within the framework of the two-day international seminar "Multilingual education in Ukraine". This important event for the development of the material and technical base of the faculty was made due to the support of the US Embassy in Ukraine.
