Today, the University Spartakiad among ZNU staff and lecturers organized by ZNU Sport Complex administration and trade union committee of our university has begun.
According to the Director of ZNU Sport Complex Mihailo 
Protas, ZNU lecturers and stuff show great interest in sports. Many of them are engaged in sports clubs of oue Sport Complex, such as: soccer, basketball, badminton, table tennis and more. The competition within the Spartakiad is called to attract the university employees and their families to a healthy lifestyle, popularize mass kinds of sports. And now there is an opportunity for them to demonstrate their achievements as amateur sportsmen.
First game day was opened with checkers competition among women amd men. Spartakiad's Chief Judge – Deputy-head of ZNU SC Oleksandr Petrenko, the judge of today's events – lecturer of ZNU Department of Physical Education Galina Esionova.
The winners of the first day of sports are:
- the first place among men won the electrician of the 8th Academic building Grigori Artemov; ІІ place - the electrician of the 3th and 5th Academic buildings Yuri Fomenko, and ІІІ place got the deputy-head of automation of ZNU Research Library information systems Roman Odintsov;
- the best results among woman demonstrated the Docent of ZNU Department of Mathematical Analysis Irina Tkachenko, ІІ place was taken by the lecturer Anna Kononenko, ІІІ place – the Deputy chief accountant of the financial department Oksana Aristova. All winners were received medals, diplomas and prizes from ZNU trade union committee
By the end of the week within the Spartakaid the competitions in tennis, sport shooting and indoor soccer are planned.
