Rector of ZNU Mykola Frolov met with Crimean students studying in our university

March 20 in Zaporizhzhya National University was held a meeting of the Rector Mykola Frolov and administration of the university students of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea. During the event, students had the opportunity to get answers to all urgent questions. They also reported the most important sequence of actions to address specific problems. In addition, after the meeting, Mykola Oleksandrovych invited all willing to meet with him personally to address specific problems.

At the beginning of the event the Rector Mykola Frolov noted: «Zaporizhzhya National University has always been and will always be your home. We sincerely thank you and your parents for what ever you choose for higher education is our university. So no matter what you make choices about their future, we will always support you and, if necessary, to help. So, all those who continue to study in our universities, no matter what nationality they choose will receive diplomas of state standard. In any case, the University is 100% fulfill its obligations».
Furthermore, Mykola Oleksandrovych said that now have drawn a lot of university students from the Crimea, wishing to continue their studies at our university. During the event there raised the question whether they can continue to study for public order and does not change the tuition fees for anyone who gets education at the expense of businesses and individuals. In response, Mykola Oleksandrovych said that the request is already sent to the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.
But even now, Mykola Frolov confidently promised that all students of budget form of studying can continue to study at the previous conditions, scholarships for students from the Crimea, regardless of their nationality, will be paid in full, and all who have a difficult financial situation, provide financial assistance, tuition fees are not raise. In addition, those students who are graduating this year at bachelor level with other students will be able to enter a master on state-provided education and diplomas of state standard for timely. Also, Mykola Oleksandrovych said that all students who are extinct to ZNU of the Crimean universities will be provided with places in hostels.
Separately, the rector of ZNU focused on the language issue: he said that discrimination by communicating in Russian language at our university is not allowed. However, he expressed the view that in order to be truly successful in today's world, today's youth must have at least four languages: the state (in this case, Ukrainian) language of a neighboring country (in Russian), English (as a language of international communication) and another to choose from. And ZNU is created favorable conditions for learning foreign languages.
First Vice-Rector Oleksandr Bondar during the meeting told about how in ZNU solved the issue of state assembly session and final certification and the possibility of postponement for students Crimeans who once chose distance learning. In addition, technical and methodological resources of ZNU can provide an opportunity for students of distance learning make a summer session remotely.
The Head of the personnel department Nataliia Kotliarenko shared information about the conditions that you must follow in order to receive the diploma, including the filling of the bypass mail. He encouraged them to apply for more information to members of Students' Government at faculty's and university's levels, because it is the student government representatives were meeting initiators of the Rector with their Crimean mates. Also, Mykola Oleksandrovych said that the the principal assistant of students is to be Deputy Dean for educational work and Deans themselves, but the final decision on all matters will be made by him personally every day.
