On November 14, a regular meeting of the debate club on "The peculiarities of criminal cases consideration in the courts of first instance: the experience of foreign countries" was held at the Law Faculty of Zaporizhia National University. This time the guests of the event included professor of the Liverpool Law School Kiron Reid and barrister Frances Wilmot, who were currently visiting our university and agreed to tell our students about the features of the judicial system of Great Britain.

Kiron Reid touched upon the specific theoretical issues of criminal cases consideration in England and Wales and told the students about the present judicial system in his country. Francis Wilmot shared her experience as a barrister paying particular attention to the speeches lawyers deliver in the courts of Great Britain and the difficulties they face during court sessions. Moreover, Frances Wilmot shared her own impressions of visiting ZNU and left a record in the Visitor Book of the Law Faculty.
