Students of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Administration communicated with a professor from Princeton University

March 13, in the frames of the Month of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Administration, students communicate in online mode with a professor from Princeton University David Tabs. David Tabs – fan of innovative teaching methods, especially he proposed for the students to study politology through recognized of the world masterpieces of literature.

This time to our students was proposed to read beforehand the play by William Shakespeare "The Merchant of Venice ". In this work, broken eternal problem of equality, discrimination on the nationality and religion. Leitmotif of the analysis of the play is the concept of human rights. David Tabs highlighted their understanding and interpretation of the plot, described the current state of the discussed phenomena in USA.
In his turn, the students were able to ask questions which have arisen during the lecture, to discuss on disputable questions. David Tabs announced some more creative achievements in the direction of philosophical understanding (“Hadji Murat ” by Lev Nykolaevych Tolstoi “Coriolanus” by William Shakespeare), which then can be stated in a lecture for students of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Administration of ZNU. It should be noted that communication was held in English language, which providing an opportunities for students for improving their level of proficiency.
