Scientists of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Administration presented their results of sociological research about Khortytsia

26 June on the basis of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Administration of Zaporizhzhya National University held presentation of sociological research of the social thought on the current state and future prospects of the National Reserve "Khortytsia". Research conducted masters under the guidance of the Faculty associate professor of political scienceї Nataliia Lepska. At the event visited staff of the reserve chaired by the Director General Maksym Ostapenko. Guests of the University sincerely interested in conclusions that have made young scientists of ZNU, so that at the end of the presentation heard suggestions on further cooperation between the Faculty and reserve "Khortytsia".

This research can be considered as an investment of the Faculty in the development of in the development of Khortitsa. Olha Sikorska and Oleksandra Synychych presented results of the research. Students told the audience that the majority of respondents to the question that they are proud of Zaporizhzhya monuments, first named DniproHES (Dnieper Hydroelectric Station), Lenin Port, Сhildren's Railway. Among these monuments was also Khortitsa, but it is not mentioned in the first place.
Most respondents perceived Khortitsa primarily as a beautiful natural area, proud of its historical value, which is associated primarily with  the Zaporozhian Sich. Among the claims made by city residents, – absence on Khortitsa a sufficient number of bins, and also laid tourist destinations with traffic-bound road and benches on either side of them, lack of information about the island itself and tourist routes, lack of car parking with security and routes for buses by island, bad informed residents of Zaporizhzhya about numerous poor events that take place on Khortitsa etc..
In developing staff recommendations of ZNU Reserve students have included these suggestions. They proposed to use for the development of Khortitsa comprehensive approach, paying attention not only to the reorganization of the tourism infrastructure of the island, but also disseminate information about all the events taking place in it, in social networks, etc..
