29.03.2006 11:07

Ian Boag, Ambassador of European Commission, visited ZNU. He met with lecturers and students of our university and was among the first who saw the exposition of renewed Museum of ZNU – the first record in Book of Opinions was made by his hand.

The ambassador noted, that it was a great pleasure for him to visit ZNU, especially at the time, when our university was celebrating its 75th anniversary. Ian Boag wished every success to ZNU. The main aim of Mr. Boag’s visit to Zaporizhzhya Region was to settle the questions of celebrating Europe Day in our city and some European integration issues. He came to ZNU to learn the opinion of education field representatives about the European course of our country. He appreciated the communication with lecturers and students. He answered willingly all their questions as well as received answers for his own.

Aside from his visit to ZNU, Ambassador of European Commision Ian Boag had the meetings with Head of Zaporizhzhya Region State Administration Yevgen Chervonenko, Mayor of Zaporizhzhya Yevgen Kartashov and representatives of local mass-media. At press-conference Ian Boag said that he was quite satisfied with his visit. Despite the fact that it lasted for one day only, our guest has learnt a lot about Zaporizhzhya Region as the land of industry – branch-wise advantages and problems, namely, the problems of ecology and transport infrastructure.
