In 1997 graduated from the Faculty of Philology of the Zaporizhzhia State University. In 2009, she defended her dissertation; the same year received a diploma of academic degree Ph.D. In 2013, she was on study program at the School of Journalism of the National University Kyiv-Mohyla Academy. In 2018-2019 she passed advanced training at the Department of Film and Television Arts of the Institute of Journalism of Kyiv National University.
She is a member of the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine.
She teaches since 1993, was a head of Laboratory of Television Journalism in 2001-2013.
Alla Ternova is an author of a series of programs on the student radio "Universe" (2001-2004), radio station "Sonata" (2005), Zaporizhzhia local branch of "Channel 5" (2007), creative head of TV projects on the student TV studio "Universe-TV" (2004-20020), co-author of 40 educational TV broadcasts on local TV channels (2013-2014).
Published over 50 scientific articles in Ukrainian and foreign professional journals. Research interests: innovative technologies in media, methods of creation of the author’s audiovisual product, the dynamics of speech processes in the media, the forming of the individual author's style and the modern means of media communication.
Published a number of guidelines and manuals: Leading Student Television New" (2009), The Press Service and Information Agencies (2010), Foreign News Agencies (2010), TV production (2015), The Press Service and Information Agencies (2019). She is a co-author of the collective scientific monograph "Ukrainian society and the problems of the media sphere: selected aspects" (2020).
