German and Ukrainian project "Summer school of bloggers and public journalists" thirdly takes place in ZNU
"Summer school of bloggers and public journalists" was held in Zaporizhzhia national university from 21 to 29 June. Participants of different ages (16-25 years), of different specialties (journalists, philologists, interpreters, lawyers, historians, therapists etc.), and from different regions of Ukraine (Zaporizhzhia, Odessa, Kharkov, Nikolaev, Dnipro) were gathered. The mentors of this project were Artem Babak, the journalist of Transparency International in Ukraine; Dmytro Bondar, the journalist of Rivne branch of the National Public TV and Radio company of Ukraine; Volodymyr Torbich, editor in chief Agency of Journalistic Investigations "Fourth Estate".
Within 9 days, the participants were taught the basics of journalism. The first day was dedicated to journalism ethnic, professional standards, and basic elements of text. During the second day, the students were learning the art of photography. The topic of the third day was digital security and two-factor authentication. The lecture on the topic of "Access to public information" and discussion of the Law of Ukraine "On Information" was held the fourth day. The fifth day was dedicated to creating the own web-sites, and also Skype interview with Denis Bigus, head and anchor of the anti-corruption program "Our Money". The sixth day is said to be the most fascinating one, and it was connected with shooting and editing videos. During the seventh and eighth day the students were making their own projects. It includes videos, photos, and infographics. The ninth day was the day of presenting the projects, choosing the winners, awarding, and issuance of certificates.
There were 6 projects, and the project "Solar kids" has won. It is a history about one guy from Orehov city. The child enjoys his life no matter how many obstacles he has; he goes to school, works, draws, dances, and writes poems. The winners of this project have obtained monopods as presents, and the most active participants who daily posted the informative and interesting posts on FaceBook from the School of photography got sd-cards.
