By the order of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine 2320-L of November 30, 2018 "On licensing specialties", a new specialty "Primary Education" with a capacity of 200 people was pro-licensed in the College of Economics and Law of Zaporizhzhia National University.
According to the Director of the College of Economics and Law Olena Hrybanova, during the introductory campaign, applicants can select this specialty - “Primary Education” from the possible list. Her specializations are the following positions such as foreign language teacher in elementary school, informatics teacher in elementary school, physical education teacher in elementary school, assistant teacher of an inclusive class. Training specialists will last 3 years and 10 months.
The graduate will be able to perform the professional work specified in the National Classifier of Ukraine (“Occupational Classifier” 003: 2010) and occupy the corresponding primary position in categories such a primary education teacher, cult-organizer of children's after-school institutions, social care assistant for working with disabled children, teacher assistant - defectologist, assistant teacher-valeologa, educator, teacher of primary specialized art schools.
At the same time, the specialists of the College of Economics and Law took into account the fact that the realities of modernity require the future teacher to be intellectually developed and socially active, to use a variety of educational technologies and tools to carry out professional functions. Therefore, in the list of core competencies that an applicant for higher education should master, the College of Economics and Law has included many important requirements.
We are talking about integral competence, that is, the ability to solve complex specialized tasks and practical problems in professional and educational activities.
Students will learn to master modern knowledge, in particular, innovative methodological approaches, modern systems, methods, technologies of training, development and education of primary school students; operate the current regulatory support of primary education. They will be able to act on the basis of principles and norms of ethics, rules of culture of behavior in relations with adults and children based on universal and national values, norms of public morality; adhere to the principles of pedagogical ethics (professional ethics of an elementary school teacher).
As a result, specialists will be ready to improve and develop their intellectual and general cultural level, to strive for the moral and physical improvement of their personality.
