Last year was very fruitful for the Faculty of Journalism of ZNU as two powerful journalistic projects of Zaporizhzhia National University with the support of the US Embassy in Ukraine, started in 2018 and will continue in the new 2019. The first is the annual cycle of weekly “Unconditional” radio programs devoted to topics and people who are poorly represented in the mainstream media. The second is the Bureau of analytical and investigative journalism”, which is working to create high-quality media texts on conflict-sensitive topics.

The project "Unconditional" Internet radio station "Universe" provides, basically, the format of a radio interview.  His heroes are already extraordinary people who, despite all the conventions - social, cultural, territorial, professional, religious are successful in their field in our city or region as a whole.  They are internally displaced persons, former ATO fighters and extraordinary profesors, journalists, and public figures. Everything is looking for non-ordinary information about your city and its interesting, you - to us. Project page - http://universe.zp.ua/?cat=2672

The project “Bureau of analytical and investigative journalism” is a platform for developing journalistic skills by the best students of the faculty in writing analytical texts and investigative journalism.  These journalistic genres are very resource-intensive, they require a lot of time, attention and critical thinking from both the journalist and the reader.

The Faculty of Journalism, together with the Union of Young Independent Journalists, set itself the goal of training professional journalists who are competent, including in analytics and investigations. Web portal "Porohy" is a platform for the work of the “Bureau of analytical and investigative journalism”. The subject matter concerns conflict-sensitive topics such as orphans, homeless people, former prisoners and drug addicts, people with disabilities, internally displaced persons, ATO veterans and their families, etc.
