On February 10 in ZNU two sessions of free trial trainings of EIT took place. Pupils of graduation classes of schools in Zaporizhzhia and the region took part in them: in biology - about 300 applicants, in physics - more than 70, in chemistry - more than 250 and in geography - 85 people.
The trial trainings at the university are traditionally held with the support of ZNU rector Mykola Frolov and thanks to the coordinated work of their organizers and participants such as the vice-rector for scientific, pedagogical and educational work Oleksandr Hura, specialists of the pre-university training, career guidance and employment, led by associate professor Halyna Mykytiv, deans, deputies Deans of vocational guidance, university lecturers.
Pro-rector Oleksandr Hura tells about holding this important event for preparing applicants for successful completion of EIT: “For several years now, the ZNU has a good tradition of conducting preparatory pilot testing sessions on subjects of external independent assessment. This is a very important educational mission that our university performs, because it helps our applicants to prepare and pass the test to the maximum extent possible. Test conditions are as close as possible to the actual session of the test, which allows young people the atmosphere, test your level of knowledge and accordingly prepare, including psychologically, for participation in the main session of the EIT. Notebooks and test forms are printed at the university. After testing, high school students can take their workbooks to work with them in order to see their mistakes and make appropriate adjustments to the preparations for the main session of the EIT”.
On this day, two training sessions took place in a row, so participants had the opportunity to be tested in two subjects on the same day.
Participants were assigned to groups. In the classrooms, instructors told them about the bas
ic requirements for conducting EIT and provided tips on psychological training.
After that, the training participants received workbooks and completed test tasks. After checking the work, applicants will be able to see the results on the ZNU website after writing the code.
Representatives of the media followed the course of trial training. Halyna Mykytiv, head of the pre-university training, career guidance and employment, explained to journalists: “This event is an important stage in preparing for the EIT, both for representatives of our university and for applicants. Therefore, the university team made a lot of joint efforts to prepare it. We are approached with requests from representatives of secondary education institutions as well as colleges who need advice, assistance in preparing for the main session of external independent assessment, and then whole gro
ups participate in pilot training. This year, for the first time, we are conducting trial training in other cities of the region: we have already visited Vasylivka, Berdyшnsk, and a trip to Melitopol is also planned. In addition, we intend to include a new item in the registration form of the test participants it concerns the creation of additional conditions for persons with special needs (an inclusive category). This year, during the testing period in ZNU there were two such participants. I think that the number of such applicants will grow, which means we must create the necessary conditions for them”.
It should be noted that the registration continues for the next session of free trial training in other subjects of the exam, which will be held on February 24 and on March 3.
