Representatives of ZNU and the Institute of Engineering of ZNU took part in the International Scientific and Practical Conference "Theory and Practice: Problems and Prospects", which was held on May 9-10 at Lithuanian University of Sport (Kaunas) and Marijampolė College (Marijampolė).

The purpose of this conference is the analysis of foreign and domestic experience and the development of practical recommendations on the development of the economy, management, entrepreneurship, business and sport.

Representatives of the university, such as: Cherep A.V., Professor, Dean of the Faculty of Economics of ZNU, Voronkova V.H., Professor, head of the Department of organization and project management of the Engineering Institute of ZNU, Azhazha M.A., Associate Professor of the Department of Management of Organizations and Project Management of the Engineering Institute of ZNU, Nikitenko V.O., Ph.D., Head of the International Department of the university.  They made presentations during plenary and breakout sessions with the topic “Education, Economics, Management in the Information (Digital) Society” and “Finances and Tax Systems of Ukraine and Lithuania”.

It is should be mentioned that Cherep A.V., Voronkova V.H., Nikitenko V.O., Azhazha M.A., joined the scientific committee of the conference.

Also, representatives of Zaporizhzhia National University and the Engineering Institute of ZNU participated in meetings with university administrations and representatives of departments, where they discussed issues of cooperation with:

1. Marijampolė College (the administration and the staff of the departments of management and entrepreneurship, economics, pedagogy, information technology);

2. Lithuanian University of Sport (administration, team of the Department of sports management, director of the International Department);

3. Vytautas Magnus University (administration, team of the Department of Bioeconomy of the Agricultural Academy), representatives of the scientific project “ERASMUS +” for the exchange of students and professors between universities of EU countries and the organization of the scientific project ERASMUS + between universities of Lithuania and Ukraine;

4. Aleksandras Stulginskis University (administration).

All sides showed interest in various forms of international partnership, cooperation and exchange of experience between students and scientists.

According to representatives of ZNU, the following issues were worked out during the conference: prospects for joint international cooperation and signing of agreements and a joint project ERASMUS +; planning for joint international conferences and round table meetings; publication of scientific articles in the journals "Economic Bulletin" and "Humanitarian studios." The matter concerned  participation in the round table meeting, which will be held in September 2019 in ZNU, exchange of students and professors, holding joint scientific and cultural events, writing articles in journals with the SCOPUS and WEB of SCIENCE scientometric databases and writing collective monographs and textbooks.  According to the results of participation in the conference and discussion of prospects for cooperation, their participants reached the following conclusions: Ukraine and Lithuania are equal partners; both countries are experiencing similar problems of reforming and modernizing education. Ukraine and Lithuania are aimed at further constructive cooperation and partnership between the two countries will be deepened.

It is worth noting that graduate students took part in the conference, and their reports reached the international level of scientific cooperation and made a significant contribution to the development of future master's work.

All participants received certificates of participation in the International Scientific and Practical Conference.  Abstracts and articles will later be posted on the site.
