On May 14, the Engineering Institute of Zaporizhzhia National University was visited by a participant in the project of the scholarship program from the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Olha Pidopryhara. Relying on her own experience, she told the students about the benefits of participating in the project and advised how to fill out an application in order to succeed.

Speaking to students, Olha drew attention to the fact that the goal of the program is to familiarize its participants with the corporate culture, the structure of receiving enterprises, project work, modern types of management, European conditions and work style, etc.  This gives students the opportunity to get new practical skills and abilities, to improve their foreign language skills, to raise the level and, accordingly, to get chances for decent employment in the future.

The scholarship program of the German economy for Ukraine has existed since 2015. Over the past years, more than 150 boys and girls from different regions of Ukraine received a scholarship and their first practical experience abroad. Today, the organizers of the program offer active and goal-oriented students a unique internship opportunity at leading enterprises in Germany. Among the participating enterprises there are some research institutes that provide places for graduate students and students who associate their future with scientific activity.

The internship begins annually on February 1 and lasts from three to five months. The program is funded by the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and host companies. It is implemented jointly by the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (coordinator of the scholarship program Andrii Honcharuk) and the German Society for Economic Cooperation (GIZ GmbH). Participation in the program is free, all expenses are compensated, and in addition, the scholars receive a monthly financial assistance of 450 euros or salary, depending on the company and received status. Upon returning to Ukraine, participants have the opportunity to join the alumni club, keep in touch with other participants and participate in domestic events free of charge, etc.

The enrollment of students for internship in 2020 began on May 1 and will last until June 15.  If you are students of 3-5 courses or graduate students (up to 30 years old) and want to expand your knowledge in the relevant field, then you need to collect and submit to the company's representatives the following documents: CV, scanned copies of the gradebook, certified by the dean's office  gradebook for graduates - a copy of the diploma.  Documents are submitted in English or German exclusively in electronic form.

We wish all those who take part in the program to achieve their goal!
