Eventually the quarantine is being weakening in Zaporizhzhia National University and international projects activities are going back into active phase. Thus, the MultiEd project team, which is a national coordinator of this Erasmus+ KA2 project, gathered for a working meeting led by Vice-Rector Gennadiy Vasylchuk.

Dean of the Faculty of Foreign Philology Halyna Moroshkina, Vice-Dean for Academic Affairs of the Faculty of Foreign Philology Kateryna Vasylyna, project coordinator, Head of the Department of Theory and Practice of English Translation Svitlana Zapolskykh, Head of the International Relations Department Alina Osaul, Vice-Dean for International Affairs of the Faculty of Journalism Katerina Sirinyok-Dolgaryova, and Deputy Chief Accountant for Grant Financing Violetta Fomenko participated in the meeting.

The team discussed the current state of the project implementation. In particular, the coordinator Svitlana Zapolskykh informed about remote work during the quarantine, due to which all partner universities from Ukraine and Europe (Estonia, Germany, Great Britain) experienced lockdown. Since the kick-off meeting in February and until now there has been going on active preparation for signing a partnership agreement. The team agreed upon the deadlines and procedural issues of organizing a tender for procuring equipment for Ukrainian partners. The manager Katerina Sirinyok-Dolgaryova reported that an informational page of the MultiEd project was created at the ZNU website.

Besides organizational and managerial work, the training phase of the project has begun. Unfortunately, due to quarantine measures to prevent the Covid-19 coronavirus pandemic, planned face-to-face training seminars, which should have involved participation of all partners, had to be transformed. Currently, two courses - a curriculum development seminar and a course "Introduction to CLIL – Content and Language Integrated Learning in Tertiary Education" - continue online on the Moodle platform of the University of Tartu (Estonia). Based on the results of this training, the faculty will work on auditing and updating the study programs and curricula of pedagogical specialties of the Faculty of Foreign Philology. The elective courses in English will be developed using the CLIL methodology for other study programs of ZNU.

The project team also discussed the implementation of a work package related to conducting a survey about multilingual education in Ukraine. In May, a pilot survey was launched at the Faculty of Foreign Philology, and at the beginning of the new 2020-2021 academic year will be launched at each faculty of ZNU and other Ukrainian partner universities. The results of the survey will be used for developing a strategy of introducing the multilingual education in Ukrainian HEIs and preparing National Recommendations for Multilingual Education in Ukraine.

At the end, the team discussed the plan of study visits to European partners (in case of favorable epidemiological situation in Ukraine and abroad) and the next deadlines for other work packages of the MultiEd project.
