Recently, the Faculty of Foreign Philology (ZNU, Zaporizhzhia National University) hosted the opening of a training multilaboratory as part of the Erasmus + project MultiED “Foreign Language Teacher Training Capacity Development as a Way to Ukraine’s Multilingual Education and European Integration”.

The event was attended by ZNU Rector Mykola Frolov, Vice-Rector for Research Gennady Vasylchuk, Dean of the Faculty Halyna Moroshkina, Project Manager, Head of the Department of Theory and Practice of English Translation Studies Svitlana Zapolskykh, faculty professors - members of the project team. The room was festively decorated for the New Year holidays and the new equipment purchased as part of the project was installed.ZNU as a participant in the project acquired an interactive display Touchscreen Display; professional camera set; router; server computer; multifunctional device; laser projector and 2 personal computers. The university applied for additional equipment: 2 Laptops, 1 printer, 1 router, 2 screens with reset mechanism, supply line filters and cables.
Welcoming the teachers of the Faculty of Foreign Philology with another important step in the project, Rector Mykola Frolov stressed that the project team work of the faculty is a model for representatives of other faculties. Mykola Oleksandrovych thanked Dean Halyna Moroshkina, Head of the Department of Theory and Practice of English Translation Studies Svitlana Zapolskikh and other representatives of the faculty for their fruitful work. He congratulated the audience on the upcoming holidays and wished them health, peace, prosperity and well-being in the New year, 2022. The Vice-Rector for Research Gennady Vasylchuk joined the sincere congratulations. ZNU administration praised the technical capabilities of the equipment purchased. They were also impressed with the unusual holiday decorations of the room: faculty representatives creatively rethought the New Year and Christmas traditions of all countries the languages of which are studied at the faculty.
Professor of the National University “Odessa Polytechnic” Tetiana Dombrovan also joined the event online through a zoom conference. Tetiana Ivanivna shared her impressions of the head of the attestation commission, in particularshe noted the high level of training at the Faculty of Foreign Philology. She thanked the representatives of the faculty for the fruitful cooperation and expressed hope for further cooperation.

This project is implemented by 13 members of the consortium: 3 European universities (the University of Tartu (Estonia), Heidelberg University (Germany) and Aston University (UK); 8 Ukrainian universities: Zaporizhzhia National University, Mykolaiv National University, Cherkasy National University, Poltava National Pedagogical University, Karazin Kharkiv National University, Horlivka Institute of Foreign Languages, Ternopil Volodymur Hnatiuk National Pedagogical University, Ivano-Frankivsk National University. In addition, the participants of the project are the All-Ukrainian Association of English Teachers "TESOL - Ukraine" (NGO) and Ministry of Education of Ukraine.
As part of the project implementation, 8 new and 14 updated training courses were launched, electronic course on CLIL (Content and Language Integrated Learning) was developed. Seminars for in-service teachers of secondary schools, research and teaching staff, which involved more than 1,000 participants were conducted. An important aspect in the implementation of the project is the constant updating of the material and technical base of the university, which allows to train modern highly qualified specialists.
