On February 19, a new multimedia audience opened at the Faculty of Foreign Philology (2 academic building, audience 326) as part of the grant project “European Values in Literary Arts”.
Memorial evening “At the cost of one’s own life” has been taken place in the Center of Polish language and culture by John III Sobieski of ZNU. The event was held within the framework of the grant project of the IV Forum of Young Poles of Ukraine, organized by the Center of Polish Culture and European Dialogue (Ivano-Frankivsk) under the patronage of the Society “Polish Community” (Warsaw).
On February 5, celebrations on the occasion of the completion of the project “Familiar Strangers” took place on the Faculty of Biology of ZNU. It should be remembered that on the territory of the campus of Zaporizhzhia National University, there are signs with unique QR codes on the trees and bushes. Now, using the capabilities of smartphones, everyone will be able to get all the necessary information about these plants in Ukrainian and English.
The training "Active citizens" was held in ZNU, which took place over two days. More than ten professors and students from different educational institutions learned how to create grant projects. It is worth noting that for the third year in a row, professors of the Faculty of Foreign Philology as associate professors of the Theory and Practice of Translation from English Svitlana Zapolskykh and Oleksandra Holovko are organizing the training in the framework of the cooperation of ZNU with the British Council in Ukraine according to the international program "Active Citizens Worldwide".
The seminar “Multilingual Education in Ukraine” on the base of the Faculty of Foreign Philology was made due to the support of the US Embassy in Ukraine and the administration of ZNU, in particular, thanks to the rector Mykola Frolov, the vice-rector for scientific work Hennadii Vasylchuk and the dean of the faculty Halyna Moroshkina. The coordinator of the working group of this event was the associate professor of the theory and practice of translation from English Oleksandra Holovko. Among the honorary guests of the international seminar were foreign language professors, native speakers of English such as Luis Perea (Faculty of Foreign Philology of Mykolaiv V.O. Sukhomlynskyi national university) and Francisco Resta (Slavyansk).
Opening of the multimedia audience "Laboratory of History of American English" took place on September 28 on the basis of the Faculty of Foreign Philology in ZNU within the framework of the two-day international seminar "Multilingual education in Ukraine". This important event for the development of the material and technical base of the faculty was made due to the support of the US Embassy in Ukraine.
This scientific and methodical complex of discipline was prepared by the professors and participants of the international project "European Project Culture", which is realized in Zaporizhzhia National University for the second year in a row.

As it is known, Zaporizhzhia national university recently has won an EU grant in the ERASMUS + program for improving journalistic education. The organizers of this project have shared the detailed information on the plans for implementing their educational ideas.The official title of this project is «Journalism Education for Democracy in Ukraine: Developing Standards, Integrity and Professionalism». That is why, in addition to universities, you can see professional organizations such as the Ethical Journalism Network (UK), the European Journalism Training Association (Netherlands), WUS (World University Service, Austria) and Public Radio (Ukraine) within the consortium.
