In the period from 19 to 21 October 2016 the Expert Committee on the accreditation examination approved by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine was working at ZNU. They conducted an accreditation examination of the masters training in three specialties: "Jurisprudence", "Accounting and audit", "Foreign Economic Activity Management" in accordance with the Regulation on accreditation of higher education institutions, specialties in higher education institutions and higher vocational schools.

On October 23, traditionally on the weekend, a large-scale event was held at ZNU, an Applicant Day, which was joined by the representatives of the university administration, all faculties, staff of the Admissions Committee and the Department of pre-University training, career guidance and employment. This time the University was visited by nearly five hundred high school students and school leavers together with their parents and teachers.

A new season of the Championship was opened by the team "Orbit" from Zaporizhzhya and "Regina" from Rivne. The matches took place in the sports complex of Zaporizhzhya National University on 21 and 22 October. Both teams scored a victory: "Orbita" on Friday, and "Regina" on Saturday.

The two-day work of the XI International scientific and practical conference "Challenges and development prospects of new economy on world, state and regional levels" was completed in ZNU. The session was attended by 184 scientists and business representatives from eight countries: apart from Ukraine there were represented Italy, Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, France, Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Lithuania. They were pondering on the ways of development of the world and Ukrainian economy, were offering the innovative economic models based on the experience of foreign enterprises.
