Acceptance of documents for postgraduate course and doctoral studies in Zaporizhzhia national university is continuing. It should be mentioned that a new model of training of highly qualified scientific workers has been introduced in Ukraine since 2016. From now, doctors of philosophy (PhD) are trained instead of Candidates of Sciences. According to the European tradition, applicants of the PhD degree become applicants of the third (educational and scientific) level of higher education. The model of training of scientific workers is also significantly changing. The 4-year period of education is now accompanied by a powerful educational component concentrated on gaining profound knowledge in the specialty, forming language competencies (preparation for the passing of international language tests), research skills (academic writing, publishing articles in publications included in the international sci-tech science databases and Web of Science, work on projects, participation in grant programs), etc.

The Faculty of Economics of Zaporizhzhia national University held a traditional event of convocation ceremony of first-year students-economists. This year, guests from the city of Katowice (Poland) - Doctor of Science, Professor of the University of Silesia Dobroslava Venzhovich-Zhelkovska and Dorota Foch, joined the celebrations that took place on the island of Khortytsia at the recreation center of ZNU, as well as the chairman of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Society of Polish Culture by A. Mickiewicz, Olha Pavliuk.
