At Zaporizhia National University, at the Philology Department, every year on Easter week, the Department of Ukrainian Studies led by its head Olga Stadnichenko organize the master class of painting Easter eggs. “Easter eggs’ shine” for students, professors, employees of the University. This year, in the context of quarantine, this studio was virtual. The student of philological faculty Oleksandr Smyrnov - the winner of the All-Ukrainian competition of student scientific works on the Ukrainian language and literature
At the beginning of April 2020, the final stage of the All-Ukrainian competition for student scientific works on Ukrainian language and literature (with the method of their teaching) took place at the Faculty of Ukrainian Philology of the Uman State Pedagogical University named after Pavlo Tychyna. The sectoral competition commission for Ukrainian literature provided review of 37 student papers. The commission admitted 11 authors' works as applicants for the award. It is nice to note that among the winners is a student of the Philological Faculty Oleksandr Smyrnov.

The practice of philology students in Bulgaria continues keep going
Language and translation practice of students of the Faculty of Philology, students of the educational program "Translation (Bulgarian)", once again takes place in the capital of Bulgaria. Under the guidance of associate professors Ilchenko Iryna Ivanivna and Duka Liudmyla Ivanivna, students deepen their knowledge of Bulgarian language, skills of its use in various situations; actualize the ability to translate texts of different genres from the Bulgarian language to Ukrainian.

June 2019 is the month of the 50th anniversary of the death of Viktor Petrov (1894-1969), a Ukrainian writer, critic, historian and philologist. From the point of view of a problematic, research search, artistic uniqueness and substantial filling, its scientific and literary heritage is one of the outstanding achievements of modern Ukrainian humanities. The ideas of Viktor Petrov are compared with the thoughts of prominent intellectuals, such as Friedrich Nietzsche, Bernard Shaw and Michel Foucault.

Student from Faculty of Philology won the competition of the Embassy of Germany in Ukraine
Officially, 2017-2018 is declared the year of the German language in Ukraine and the Ukrainian language in Germany. By coincidence, this year's twenty-fifth anniversary is celebrated by the embassies of both states. That is why on the anniversary of diplomatic relations between our countries the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany announced a competition for young Ukrainians interested in the history of our countries and ready to share their impressions, thoughts, expectations and even fantasies about the development of this cooperation.
