Foreign students choose to study in Ukrainian higher education institutions

According to the Ukrainian State Center for International Education, over 76,000 international students from 154 countries study in Ukraine. There are almost 3000 students in Zaporizhia (more than in Kharkiv, Kyiv, and Odessa). These foreigners are from Morocco, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, Ecuador, India, Nigeria, Zimbabwe, Madagascar and other countries. Many of them study at Zaporizhia National University.

On April 23, at the initiative of the Team Europe expert of the EU Delegation in Ukraine on youth mobility issues Denys Demydov, the Faculty of History of ZNU was visited by Viktoriia Davydova, press and information counselor of the European Union, and Team Europe gender expert Oksana Drozdovska. They had the possibility to meet with the youth of ZNU.

Urban studios in Ukraine were investigated on the Faculty of History

Recently, a scientific seminar “Urban studios in Ukraine: urban space and symbolic images of Zaporizhzhia” has been held on the basis of the history department. The event was held in the framework of the international scientific project "Practices of self-representation of a multinational city in the industrial and post-industrial era", which is carried out with the support of the the Kowalsky Program of Canadian Institute of Ukrainian Studies of University of Alberta (Edmonton, Canada).

Coordinator of the European Program Erasmus + in the direction of Jean Monet "European Values in Literary Arts", deputy dean of the Faculty of History for International Affairs, associate professor of the Department of World History and International Relations Stanislav Cherkasov took part in the International Conference of Project Coordinators Erasmus+ held on November 28-29  in the city of Brussels.  The event was organized by the European Commission together with the Executive Agency for Education of the European Union.

Faculty of History devoted international conference to studying and mastering the underground space

Today, September 25, at the faculty of History of Zaporizhzhya National University begins its two-day International Conference "Underground space, exploration, research, secondary use". The scope of this research collection is unique not only for academic historians of our university, but also for members of all national science. The importance and relevance of the proposed for consideration and discussion of topics by the fact that the event has shown willingness to participate 40 scientists from leading universities from all regions of Ukraine. Also their thesis for the conference submitted by researchers from the UK, Germany, Poland, Russia and the United Arab Emirates.

Last week, due to the support of the Department of Sociology of Culture of Lodz University Associate Professor of the Faculty of History of ZNU Iryna Savchenko participated in international conference «ORAL HISTORY IN CENTRAL-EASTERN EUROPE: CURRENT RESEARCH AREAS, CHALLENGES AND SPECIFICITY», held at the University of Lodz (Poland).
