On April 23, at the initiative of the Team Europe expert of the EU Delegation in Ukraine on youth mobility issues Denys Demydov, the Faculty of History of ZNU was visited by Viktoriia Davydova, press and information counselor of the European Union, and Team Europe gender expert Oksana Drozdovska. They had the possibility to meet with the youth of ZNU.
Recently, a scientific seminar “Urban studios in Ukraine: urban space and symbolic images of Zaporizhzhia” has been held on the basis of the history department. The event was held in the framework of the international scientific project "Practices of self-representation of a multinational city in the industrial and post-industrial era", which is carried out with the support of the the Kowalsky Program of Canadian Institute of Ukrainian Studies of University of Alberta (Edmonton, Canada).
The students of the history faculty of the specialty “International Relations, Public Communications and Regional Studios” had a translation practice for two weeks in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine. In particular, students had internships in the First European Department (Valeriia Kosar and Anna Manuilova), the Second European Department (Anna Skrypnyk), the Human Resources Department (Kateryna Bielik) and the Department of the European Union and NATO (Yuliia Rozbytska). Also, two interns of the Faculty of Economics (Viktoriia Bielik and Dariia Synooka) agreed to join the students of the history department in agreement with the heads of the practice.
Coordinator of the European Program Erasmus + in the direction of Jean Monet "European Values in Literary Arts", deputy dean of the Faculty of History for International Affairs, associate professor of the Department of World History and International Relations Stanislav Cherkasov took part in the International Conference of Project Coordinators Erasmus+ held on November 28-29 in the city of Brussels. The event was organized by the European Commission together with the Executive Agency for Education of the European Union.
The representative of the Faculty of History of Zaporizhzhia national university took part in the important event: the international scientific seminar “Urbanist studios in Ukraine: pressing issues" was held on the Faculty of History of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University.
A few days ago, International MAG Convention “The Image of the Self” was held in the Ukrainian Catholic University in the city of Lviv where 490 people were present from more than 20 countries of the world.
ZNU is organizing a two-day scientific and practical conference "Zaporizhzhia Jewish Readings - 2018" on April 18-19. Representatives of the Department of History (ZNU) and the Ukrainian Institute of Holocaust Studies "Tkuma", the Museum "Memory of the Jewish people and the Holocaust in Ukraine" under the patronage of the Ministry of Eduation and Science of Ukraine traditionally conduct this conference. Scientists from ukraine and Crimea are taking part in the event - historians, philosophers and students, as well as journalists and public figures.
On April 11, Department of History (ZNU) hosted sectional meetings of the scientific and practical conference for students and young scientists "Young Science - 2018": "World History and International Relations", "Chronology, Historiography", "Ancient and New History of Ukraine" and "Newest History of Ukraine".
