Associate professors of the Faculty of Foreign Languages completed a MultiEd internship course in Semiotics of Culture at the University of Tartu (Estonia)
During July 5-15, 2022, the associate professors of the Department of English Philology and Linguodidactics of Zaporizhia National University Maryna Zaluzhna and Olena Luzhanytsia completed the internship course “Yuri Lotman and the Semiotics of Culture: Contemporary Applications” at the University of Tartu (Estonia). The trip to Estonia took place within the scope of the Erasmus+ KA2 international project “Foreign Language Teacher Training Capacity Development as a Way to Ukraine’s Multilingual Education and European Integration / MultiEd”. The organization of the trip was initiated and co-ordinated by the project managers of the University of Tartu Oleksandra Golovko and Kristian Klauks.

Erasmus+ KA2 MultiEd consortium partners discussed the prospects of project realization during the wartime
On June 29, 2022, a meeting of managers and coordinators of the Erasmus+ KA2 MultiEd project "Foreign Language Teacher Training Capacity Development as a Way to Ukraine’s Multilingual Education and European Integration" took place. The partners discussed the prospects for implementing the activities of the project, which has been extended to November 14, 2023.

Erasmus + KA2 MultiEd participants studied the CLIL methodology during a study visit to Estonia
At the end of October, ZNU teachers attended a five-day study visit to Estonia as part of the MultiEd international educational project “Foreign Language Teacher Training Capacity Development as a Way to Ukraine’s Multilingual Education and European Integration / MultiEd” under the umbrella of Erasmus+ KA2 project. Associate Professors of the Department of English Philology and Linguistic Didactics Natalia Nadtochii, Maryna Zaluzhna and Senior Lecturer of the Department of Theory and Practice of English Translation Viktoriia Pohonets visited the Estonian cities – Tallinn, Tartu and Narva. The visit was devoted to getting acquainted with the specifics of the application of the methodology of Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) in Estonian educational institutions.

MultiEd Project: Seminar on Updating Study Programmes and Curricula from European partners
On February 18, a scheduled meeting of the Erasmus + KA2 project consortium "Development of foreign language teacher training capacity as a way to implement multilingual education and European integration of Ukraine (MultiEd)" took place. The partnership was represented by the University of Tartu (Estonia), Heidelberg Pedagogical University (Germany), Aston University (UK), 8 Ukrainian universities: Zaporizhzhya National University, V.O. Sukhomlynskyi National University of Mykolaiv, Bohdan Khmelnytsky National University of Cherkasy, Poltava V.G. Korolenko National Pedagogical University, State Higher Educational Institution “Donbas State Pedagogical University”, V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University, Ternopil Volodymyr Hnatiuk National Pedagogical University, State Higher Educational Establishment "Precarpathian National University named after Vasyl Stefanyk", TESOL All-Ukrainian Association of English Teachers». ZNU teachers improved their pedagogical skills within the Erasmus + MultiEd project
In December, fourteen teachers of the faculties of foreign philology and journalism ZNU (Zaporizhzhia National University) received certificates of successful completion of the advanced course "Content and Language Integrated Learning for Tertiary Education". The course took place from May to December 2020 within the framework of the international Erasmus + KA2 project MultiEd "Foreign Language Teacher Training Capacity Development as a Way to Ukraine’s Multilingual Education and European Integration."
