December 7-8, ІІ Ukrainian Arm-wrestling Championship among the students of higher educational establishments gathered more than 300 athletes from 50 our universities at the Kharkiv National Academy of Municipal Economy.
On October 13-14 the Championship of Ukraine in Kyokushin Karate was held in Kherson, where the athlets from Zaporizhzhya region took ІІІ place. The atletes were trained by ZNU instructor, Head of Zaporizhzhya Regional Federation of Kyokushin Karate, coach Miloslav Korzh.
Edem Rustem-ogli Gafarov got the victory at the World Deaf Wrestling Championship (74 kg).
September 20-23, ІV World Junior Wushu Championship were held in Macau (China). The representatives from 40 countries participated in various kinds of this sport: gunshu, daoshu, duilian, qiangshu. The student of the 2-nd course ZNU College of Economics and Law (specialty: "Physical Education") Tetyana Kondrateva has defended the honor of the Ukraine national wushu team.
The academic year has just started, but even now our students have already earned the rewards at the international competition of student and pupil research works "My Homeland". The competition has been held for 15 years. This year our students have participated for the first time and at once properly represented Zaporizhzhya National University at the national level.
