November 24 was held All-Ukrainian boxing tournament for the Cup of JSC "Motor Sich" among juniors 1999-2000 years of birth and youth 2000-2001 years of birth in the weight category of 70 kg.

November 20th team of Economics and Law College of Zaporizhzhya National University won regional competitions in basketball among students of higher educational institutionsof the 1st-2nd accreditational level.

In Zaporizhzhya National University continues the traditional Cup on minifootball, dedicated to the memory of the former Rector of ZNU (1984-2003), professor Viacheslav Tolok. Thus, on November 19 in a sports complex was held 2nd tour of the competition, in which participated teams "Hope - ZNU", "ZNU 2", ELC of ZNU (College of Economics and Law of ZNU), and - CPU (Classical Private University) , ZNTU (Zaporizhzhya National Technical University), ZSMU (Zaporizhzhya State Medical University), ZSEA and Hydropower College, "National team of Zaporizhzhya regional professional-oriented educational institutions".

Team of Economics and Law College of ZNU in track and field took second place in the regional championship among students of higher educational institutions of the I-II accreditation levels. The competition was held October 7-8 in sports complex "Motor-Sich".

Team of Economics and Law College of Zaporizhzhya National University won the regional games of mini-football among students of higher educational institutions of I-II accreditation levels.

Recently in Truskawetz was held Wushu Cup of Ukraine. The first national competition of the season brought representatives of Zaporizhzhya region 42 medals - 18 gold, 14 silver and 10 bronze medals. Some sportsmen from Zaporizhzhya National University - Maksym Danchenko, Tetiana Kondratieva and Anna Derbenova, and ZNU graduate Myroslava Mala.

Famous athlete Zaporizhzhya, Honored Master of Sports, Zaporizhzhya National University graduate Svitlana Bondarenko won "gold" and three "silver" medals during Swimming World Championship among veterans.

12-17 August in Zurich will be held the European Athletics Championships. Executive Committee of the Ukrainian Athletic Federation has recently approved the national delegations to participate in this prestigious sporting events.

From 20 to 24 May in the capital of Azerbaijan (Baku) lasted XXIV European Armwrestling Championship. For the winner of the "juniors", "veterans" and "adult" representatives of 22 teams competed - over 500 strongest European athletes.

April 28th was held sports contest of Zaporizhzhya region in table tennis among teachers and staff of higher educational institutions of III-IV accreditation levels.
