On the basis of the Scientific Library of Zaporizhzhya National University regularly hold meetings of students and teachers of our university with famous writers and scientists, public figures. During such events everyone interested can talk with prominent personalities, learn more about their life and work, ask questions. Thus, on November 26, ZNU visited writer and public figure Hromovytsia Berdnyk, daughter of the famous writer and poet, artist, human rights activist, founder of the NGO "Ukrainian spiritual republic" Oles Berdnyk. June 16 in the Scientific Library of Zaporizhzhya National University presented a new collection of poems of the famous poet, graduate of our university Maryna Bratsylo "Silk country". The event was a part of the competition of young Ukrainian poetry and art song "Khortitskiy Bells" named after the writer.
For students of the Faculty of Philology of ZNU has become a tradition celebrating World Poetry Day, which was established on 30 session of the General Assembly of UNESCO (Paris, 1999). The main purpose of the event - the promotion of linguistic diversity and language support, which disappear with the help of poetry. For several years the young poets of Zaporizhzhya National University, do not stay away from this holiday.
On March 4, in Economics and Law College of Zaporizhzhya National University was held a roundtable on "Publishing activity of Taras Shevchenko", dedicated to the 200th anniversary of the birth of the poet.
