The working delegation of ZNU representatives, which has recently visited the Narva College of the University of Tartu (Estonia) was composed of the Vice-Rector for Research Hennadiy Vasylchuk and the Vice-Rector for Educational Research and Academic Affairs Oleksandr Hura. The Vice-Rectors reported to the administration of Zaporizhzhya National University about the work on the project "Implementation of the multilingual education model and the methodology of simultaneous teaching subject and language (CLIL) at Zaporizhzhya National University and Zaporizhzhya Oblast". In addition, Hennadiy Vasylchuk and Oleksandr Hura presented a number of specific proposals for the project work implementation within the framework of realization of the Concept of foreign languages at ZNU initiated by the Rector Mykola Frolov.

The representatives of the administration and professors of our University have recently visited the Narva College of the University of Tartu. This visit took place within the framework of the project "Implementation of the multilingual education model and the methodology of simultaneous teaching subject and language (CLIL) at Zaporizhzhya National University and Zaporizhzhya Oblast". The event was held due to the Concept of learning foreign languages which had been successfully implemented at ZNU for several years, initiated by the Rector Mykola Frolov. Here's what the initiator of the visit, the Dean of the Faculty of Foreign Languages Halyna Moroshkina says about the possibility of implementation of the multilingual education model at University and the characteristics of the educational process:

At the Faculty of Biology of ZNU was held a conference for students who were interested in academic mobility devoted to the current issues related to the internships abroad. The event was organized by the Student Council’s international sector of the Faculty of Biology.

November 21, Zaporizhzhya National University was visited by the representatives of the Embassy of France in Ukraine, the Attaché for university and scientific cooperation Sylvain Rigollet and the Attaché for French language Fabrice Peutot. They were accompanied by the Director of the French Cultural Center "Alliance Française" Lyudmyla Bohdanovska. The honorable guests met with the representatives of the University administration and the Faculty of Foreign Languages, found out more about the material and technical base of the University and its international activities, and also discussed prospects for further cooperation between ZNU and higher education institutions of France.

Last week the delegation of Zaporizhzhya National University, headed by the Vice-Rector for Research Hennadiy Vasylchuk, visited Estonia. It was a return visit at the invitation of colleagues from Narva College of the University of Tartu as part of the project "Introducing of the multilingual education model and the methodology of simultaneous teaching subject and language (CLIL) at Zaporizhzhya National University and Zaporizhzhya Oblast". The event was held in the framework of the Concept of learning foreign languages which had been successfully implemented at ZNU for several years, at the initiative of the rector Mykola Frolov.

According to Hennadiy Vasylchuk, the program was pretty intense. During the meeting with Estonian colleagues, the delegates discussed issues concerning the implementation of the joint project of Narva College and Zaporizhzhya National University on the characteristic features of multilingual learning. The Ukrainian delegation also found out more about the Estonian educational system, ethno-cultural specific concepts of the Republic of Estonia, the guests visited the Estonian secondary and higher educational institutions, etc.

Halyna Moroshkina, talking about the development of Estonian international activities of the university, paid special attention to the stages of connection establishment with the representatives of the University of Tartu and the prospects of further cooperation of ZNU with this leading Estonian higher education institution: "For the first time our Estonian colleagues visited the University in January of this year at our invitation. The staff of the Faculty of Foreign Languages prepared for the guests of honour the fundamental presentations in all fields of activity: the professors described the learning process, told about the educational programmes and specializations of the University, its scientific and international activities, academic mobility, youth outreach, etc. Professor Saniya Yenikyeyeva prepared information about the scientific schools of the Faculty of Foreign Languages which are well-known not only in the national linguistic space, but also in the international academic circles.

From November 10 the Dean of the Faculty of Economics, Professor Alla Cherep has been teaching according to exchange program at the Kazakh National Pedagogical University named after Abai at the Sorbonne-Kazakhstan Institute. It is her professionalism and the quality of lectures that has contributed to the establishment of closer ties between Ukrainian universities and the University of Kazakhstan.

In October 2016, in the educational-scientific laboratory of archeological research of ZNU Professor Iryna Nechayeva (Ohlone College, California, USA) analysed the anthropological collections gathered by the specialists of the laboratory for 30 years. The purpose of research is studying of the nutritional basics and the economic adaptation of the population in Scythian times.
