Yesterday, the twelfth of December in the classroom 224 of ZNU academic building №2, students of the Faculty of Law took part in a video conference with a world-renowned scholar, lecturer of the University of Oxford, Dr. Jeffery West. Via Skype connection, future lawyers attended a fascinating lecture from academic’s authorial course "Importance of critical thinking for lawyers".

In the framework of the official visit to Zaporizhzhya National University Ambassador of France to Ukraine Isabelle Dumont gave a lecture, in which she outlined the main directions of Ukrainian and French cooperation. The guest of honour drew special attention to the educational aspect: she talked about scholarships for teachers and students, the possibility of internships in France and Canada, Embassy’s help in the study of French with books and electronic sources.

The Head of non-governmental organization "Arabic Center" in Zaporizhzhya, the President of the Association of National Minorities of Zaporizhzhya region, the member of the Association of Arab doctors of Ukraine Naufal Khamdani met with professors and students of the ZNU Faculty of History. It wasn’t the first time that a well-known public figure had attended university, but this time he appeared in the unusual perspective – during the meeting of the International club he gave a lecture on the history of the countries of North Africa "Security and territorial integrity issues of the countries of the Maghreb", in particular it was about the Kingdom of Morocco.

The Ukrainian Catholic University in cooperation with the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) continues a series of lectures UCU Rule of Law Lecture Series from leading American lawyers, devoted to the actual challenges and problems in the field of consolidation of the rule of law, justice and fairness. The project is organized by the UCU Rule of Law Center, together with the USAID Justice Sector Reform Program "New justice", in cooperation with the Ukrainian Bar Association and European Business Association. Information partner UCU Rule of Law Lecture Series – the portal "Your city". The Faculty of Law of Zaporizhzhya National University has also joined this project.
