Soon, on August 19, in Taipei (China), the World Universiade-2017 will begin. The athletes from all over the world will gather at the prestigious sports competition. In particular, the Ukrainian national team, which will visit the Universiade, includes 233 people, 10 of them represent Zaporizhzhya on a world-wide basis.

On August 7, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Sweden to Ukraine, Mr. Martin Hagström, visited the Zaporizhzhya National University. During his stay at the university, the honorable guest met with the Head of the Supervisory Board of ZNU Mykola Frolov, представниками адміністрації, викладачами та співробітниками вишу, аби обговорити перспективи розвитку representatives of the administration, lecturers and colleagues to discuss prospects for the development of the Swedish direction of international activity of the University. Also, there was arranged a tour of the educational buildings and the campus of the higher educational institution. In particular, he was able to see the next stage of this year's admissions process at ZNU.

Recently, the Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA) declared the results of the competition 2017 under the direction of Jean Monnet for the European Union Program "Erasmus+". The Zaporizhzhya National University is among the winners.

The representatives of Zaporizhzhya National University joined the organization and holding of the "International Forum Zaporizhzhya-2017", a large-scale international scientific and practical event, which will be held on the basis of the "Cossack-Palace" Exhibition Centre on May 30 - June 1. The representatives of the governmental structures and diplomatic corps, people's deputies of Ukraine, city and region leaders, leading national enterprises and scientific and educational institutions will take part in the forum. Among them there are representatives of the administration and scientists of the Faculty of Biology of ZNU.

In Zaporizhzhya National University continues the fruitful work on the establishment of new and mutually beneficial cooperation with foreign universities, the increase of academic mobility of teachers and students, the development of project activities of the University.
