Day of knowledge in ZNU brought tons of surprises and unforgettable emotions. Mykola Frolov, rector of ZNU, and honored guests such as deputy Chairman of Zaporizhzhia Regional State Administration, Zinaida Boiko, and head of the district administration of Zaporizhzhia City Council for Alexandrovsky District Valerii Mostovyi gave a congratulation speech to all the presents of the event, especially to the freshmen during the official part of ceremony.

The representatives of ZNU in the head of the rector of ZNU, Professor Mykola Frolov and vice-rector Oleksandr Hura took part in the region’s events which were held 28 August in Zaporizhzhia Regional State Administration. For example, achievements in the field of teacher education presented the dean of the Faculty of Social Pedagogy and Psychology, Olha Ponomarenko, scholars Andrii Andrieiev and Nataliia Tykhonska  (“Secondary education (Physics)” ), deputy director of the Scientific Library, Oksana Ahoian. The principal of College of Economics and Law Olena Hrybanova, joined the discussion of important issues in the development of areas of I-II level of accreditation.

The constant business partners of university, representatives of state Chief Researcher of the Design Bureau, honorary professor of ZNU Ihor Larinov and chief of enterprise sector Dmytro Akymov visited  Zaporizhzhia national university 22 August with working visit. During their visit at the university they met with the rector of ZNU, professor Mykola Frolov, vice-rector for scientific work Hennadii Vasylchuk, and work group of the university’s scholars under the leadership its chairman – head of the department of applied mathematics and mechanics, professor Viktor Hryshchak.

The celebration event in occasion of the beginning of the new educational year will take place 31 August on the square between the second and sixth academic building. The first lectures will start on Monday of 3 September.

Olexandr Nadtoka, the master of sport of international class of rowing, champion and current record holder of the world, studies in the graduate school of Zaporizhzhia national university, successfully presented Ukraine in Men’s Quadruple Sculls in European Rowing Championship (Glasgow, Great Britain).

“Summer school of bloggers and public journalists” has been held in ZNU recently. Hennadii Vasylchuk has told about the results of it and mentioned that there was an active participation in the project from Oleksandr Holovko, and Svitlany Zapolskykh who are the associate professors of the department of theory and practice in translating from English, and also other workers of the university.
