Every year, students from all over the world are happy to take part in various competitions. You can select competitions aimed at obtaining grants for training, inventions, etc.  Students of ZNU were informed about the contest “Being smart is trendy” from the company Open Media Group.  It is one of the leading Internet companies in Eastern Europe, operating in more than 10 countries.

On June 11, the regular meeting of the commission to determine the winners of the scholarship program of “Zaporizhstal” OJSC was held in ZNU. The members of the scholarship commission this time chose nine students - representatives of the faculties of management, economics and the Faculty of Metallurgy of the Engineering Institute of ZNU, who in the first semester of the new 2019-2020 academic year will receive nominal scholarships.

Representatives of ZNU and the Institute of Engineering of ZNU took part in the International Scientific and Practical Conference "Theory and Practice: Problems and Prospects", which was held on May 9-10 at Lithuanian University of Sport (Kaunas) and Marijampolė College (Marijampolė).

One of the priority tasks of Zaporizhzhia National University is the training of highly qualified specialists, whose knowledge and skills meet the demands of the modern labor market. That is why the university opens up new specialties and educational programs that are of great interest to both applicants and future employers. New educational programs include “Environmental Economics” (specialty 051 “Economics”, branches of knowledge 05 “Social and behavioral sciences”).

Students of the Faculty of Economics and the Engineering Institute of Zaporizhzhia National University encountered on March 14, 2019 in order to participate in the first stage of the All-Ukrainian Student Olympiad on the specialty "Banking". Andrii Lynenko, associate professor of the Department of Finance, Banking and Insurance of the Faculty of Economics, was responsible for conducting this stage of the Olympiad. Viktoriia Fatiukha, associate professor of the Department of Finance, Banking and Insurance from Engineering Institute also joined the event.

On February 6, graduate-masters were given diplomas on the Faculty of Economics of Zaporizhzhia National University. Documents on higher education received 243 masters of full-time and correspondence courses, of which 66 are diplomas with honors.
