This year there was the fifth bike parade within the Ukrainian Bicycle Day in Zaporizhzhya. The number of participants rises each year.
They fight for the equal rights with the automobiles drivers.
Zaporizhzhya National University keeps hosting the Internal Independent Evaluation (IIE). On June 3rd 289 applicants gathered at the 2nd ZNU building for testing in English language.

The Top-20 list of the most searched universities according to Google includes National Technical University KPI, Drahomanov National Pedagogical University and Karazin Kharkov National University. Zaporizhzhya National University is 14th out of 20 in this list.
In the middle of May in Saint Petersburg there was the 7th International seminar in Hunting Studies «Studying of the Water and Bog Lands and State of Their Resources at Concrete Objects». Once per five years the French Agency of the wild life Saint-Benoit-Auffargis organizes such seminars in different countries. This year the ZNU scientist, senior lecturer of the Chair of the Hunting Studies and Ichthyology Volodymyr Vovchenko visited the seminar.
The final meeting of the active members of the Scientific Society of students and Post-Graduates gathered the university authorities, students and post-grads for discussing the results of 2010-2011 academic year.
«Creative Youth» is a title of the forum devoted to the Science Day, celebrated by the representatives of the Scientific Society of students and Post-Graduates (SSSP). Traditionally it took place at the sanatorium-preventorium at Khortitsa Island.
Recently in Kyiv there was the 4th Youth Forum of Victor Pinchuk's Scholarship Program "ZAVTRA.UA". 320 best students from all over Ukraine won this year contest. They were selected out of 1739 candidates after having come through three contest rounds.
On May 31 in Zaporizhzhya National University within the seminar "EU Politics in Informational Space of Ukraine" there was the meeting of the Ukrainian journalists and journalism students with the Head of the Ukrainian Branch of Conrad Adenauer Fund Niko Lange. Dr. Valeriy Ivanov and Lyudmyla Gumenyuk joined Mr. Lange during the seminar.
Zaporizhzhya is rich on the historic secrets. The specialists of the Laboratory of the archeological research of ZNU researched the city. The last finding was from the burial mounds of the right bank of the city (Baburka).
