Last Sunday the future students had the possibility to get the closer look at the University, its departments and specialties, to get more information about the entering campaign of 2010. 
Over the past six years according to the Ministry's of Education and Science of Ukraine statistics there were thirteen deaths at the physical training lessons. Only one of them was connected with the trauma. Official death reasons were named as the cardiovascular collapse. In 2008 the new normative was adopted. According to it the cross, grenade throwing, and jumps over the vaulting horse were cancelled totally. 
On March 28th, April 18th and 25th Zaporizhzhya National University will hold the free trial testing in all disciplines of State External Independent Evaluation. The schools graduates will have the possibility to evaluate their levels of preparation to the testing and experience the atmosphere of the test passing. They will also be able to get the psychologist's advice and get to know how to fill the application documents. 
The faculty staff of the Russian Philology Chair prepared the celebration of the great Russian writer Anton Chekhov's anniversary. Chekhov's Readings and other events took place in ZNU, some of them for the first time.
On March 17th the art song concert devoted to the famous poet, actor and musician Vladimir Visotsky's memory took place in ZNU.
The history of Zaporizhzhya land is very enthusiastic and full of legends, but nevertheless is not studied enough. Ya. Novitsky National Society Zaporizhzhya representatives are working on filling the gaps in our history. 
Two days - March, 13-14 - in Zaporizhzhya National University's sport building the All-Ukrainian Student Games in sport aerobics took place. 23 teams from 8 oblasts participated in the competition. Four universities represented Zaporizhzhya oblast: Zaporizhzhya National University, Zaporizhzhya National Technical University (two teems), Zaporizhzhya State Engineering Academy and Classical Private University.
