The Ministry of Education, Science Youth and Sports of Ukraine has sent a congratulatory letter to the rector of Zaporizhzhya National University Nikolai Frolov. He noted that the Ministry of Education, Science Youth and Sports of Ukraine is proud of our graduate's achievements, in particular, Aleksander Usik (a gold medal in boxing) and Olesya Povh (bronze medal in athletics). They praised Ukraine at XXX Olympic Games in London 2012.

An exciting and entertaining musical break continued "Festive Marathon" in ZNU. During the celebration of the Day of Physical Culture and Sports the fest's organizers - the Center of the Cultural work headed by Julia Yanko, ZNU Student Council and the Department of Physical Education - have prepared an interesting program exploring alternative and extreme types of sports.
"Festive Marathon Sports" for the Day of Physical Culture and Sports opened with the morning exercise for the whole university. The celebration, organized by the Center of the Cultural work, ZNU Student Council and the Department of Physical Education, has begun in front of ZNU Sports complex.
Again the student of Zaporizhzhya National University Maria Pomazan has proved to the whole world she's the best at shot putting. Our athlete claimed a gold medal on the fifth day of the of the Paralympic Games in London, beating her previous world record of 12.22 meters.
