Participation in two stages of World Cup on swimming on a short water brought bronze medal to Zaporizhzhya National University student Sergey Frolov.
At the Olympic camp in Koncha Zaspa (Kyiv region) most athletes of Ukraine last month received diplomas, statuettes and cash prizes from the National Olympic Committee. Zaporizhzhya National University student, athlete, Olesya Povh awarded the title of "best athlete in June" by winning at distances 100 meters and 4x100 meters relay team championship of Europe.
The first gold medal of the 2013 World Universiade won Zaporizhzhya National University athletes, students of SK "Metalurg" Olesya Povh and Mariya Remen.
July 12 in the framework of the Summer Universiade 2013 in Kazan were swimming competition. Ukrainian athlete, Zaporizhzhya National University student Sergiy Frolov won two medals: silver - in swimming on the 800 m freestyle and a bronze medal in distance of 1500 m.
XXVII World Summer Universiade this year takes place in Russia (Kazan). Student competition started on July 6 and will last until July 17. Honor to represent Zaporizhzhya universities had 10 students.
Ukrainian athletes of ZNU Olesya Povh and Maria Remen won the gold medal in 100 and 200-metre sprint in the UK where passed team European Championships in track and field. One more medal of the highest quality was received in the 4x100 relay.The competition “The Best Educational and Methodical Course Book of Year” summed up at ZNU. Educational and methodical manuals of foreign philology faculty, biological, economic, mathematical, law, social pedagogy and psychology faculties were among winners.
The 6th Youth Forum of the Scholarship Program “Zavtra.UA” the Victor Pinchuk Foundation was held on May 25-27 in Kiev. This year it was entitled “From idea to Action”. Traditionally over 300 winners of the annual national contest attended the Forum. They were selected by an expert committee from more than 1900 candidates from all over Ukraine. Among the program “Zavtra.UA” winners there are 6 students of ZNU.
Recently the Zaporizhzhya Regional State Administration welcomed the winners and participants of the regional competition for young journalists "The Descendants of Winners", dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the Battle of Stalingrad. The first place in the category "Juvenile Law - Who Needs It?" took the student of the 4th course (speciality: "Language and Literature (Russian) Ludmila Kvasha.
