In December 2016, the higher education institution will adopt the Honour Code of Zaporizhzhya National University, the draft of which has been presented at the university.

The activities to promote academic integrity among students and teachers continue at Zaporizhzhya National University within the framework of mini-grant "honestly_education" received by the University from the American Councils for International Education. One of its mini projects was the Debate tournament "Honest education: myth or reality?" which gave the opportunity to all the concerned students and teachers of ZNU to express their own opinion on the problem of cheating, plagiarism, bribes and the quality of education.

In October 2016, in the educational-scientific laboratory of archeological research of ZNU Professor Iryna Nechayeva (Ohlone College, California, USA) analysed the anthropological collections gathered by the specialists of the laboratory for 30 years. The purpose of research is studying of the nutritional basics and the economic adaptation of the population in Scythian times.

In early autumn, a legal firm Eterna Law announced a competition "P2P" (PersontoPerson) with partners’ support for law students of 4-6 courses from the 5 leading Ukrainian universities.

The Head of non-governmental organization "Arabic Center" in Zaporizhzhya, the President of the Association of National Minorities of Zaporizhzhya region, the member of the Association of Arab doctors of Ukraine Naufal Khamdani met with professors and students of the ZNU Faculty of History. It wasn’t the first time that a well-known public figure had attended university, but this time he appeared in the unusual perspective – during the meeting of the International club he gave a lecture on the history of the countries of North Africa "Security and territorial integrity issues of the countries of the Maghreb", in particular it was about the Kingdom of Morocco.

In the framework of the Student Spartakiad of ZNU the draughts competitions among young men were completed. The representatives of 12 faculties of the University took part in the team contests (3 regular and 2 reserve players).

Recently, at the Faculty of Foreign Languages has been launched a new bilingual excursion project of the student initiative "Our Faculty! Our Building! Unsere Fakultät! Unser Gebäude!". The idea of this project embodies the heritage of modern educational technologies Share It! and Peer-to-Peer and corresponds to the European traditions of the Bologna process, when the upperclassmen share information and experiences with freshmen.

Professors and students, graduates, representatives of administration and other faculties, and a lot of friends gathered to congratulate the Faculty of Foreign Languages, to remember its considerable achievements and wish new victories.

October 27-28, 2016 in the Vinnytsia State Pedagogical University named after Mykhailo Kotsiubynsky was held the International Congress on special education, psychology and rehabilitation: "Education for special-needs children: from institutionalization to inclusion". The purpose of the event was to determine the development strategy of education for special-needs people in Ukraine. The discussion was joined by the scientists of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine, the National Pedagogical Dragomanov University, the leading experts in the field of special and inclusive education of higher education institutions of Ukraine, as well as Poland, Slovakia, the United States, China, Italy. The participants of the Congress received welcome letters from the Chairman of the Charity Fund of Petro Poroshenko, Maryna Poroshenko, and the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, Liliya Hrynevych.
