There’s an old good tradition in ZNU Library – to hold a book exhibition, dedicated to the works of Great Kobzar in the first decade of March. Such a literary collections keeps on growing year by year: this year it was enriched by the book, written by V.A. Chabanenko, lecturer of the Faculty of Philology, Doctor of Sciences (Philology), Professor of the Chair of General and Slavic Linguistics, member of the National Association of Writers of Ukraine. The book’s name is “My Shevchenko Studies”.

On March 5 press-conference with Lyubko DERESH, popular author of modern Ukrainian youth prose was held in “Zaporiz’kyy Universytet” newspaper’s editorial office.

Zaporizhzhya National University announces the opening of another speciality. The graduates of 8.000005 (“Pedagogics of Higher School”) will receive Master degree.

Enlarged session of the Board of Science and Education Department of Zaporizhzhya Region State Administration, first this year, was held in Zaporizhzhya National University.

The inauguration of “Ukraine-NATO” information desk was carried out on February 28 in ZNU Library by ZNU Rector Sergiy Tymchenko, First Vice-Rector Fedir Turchenko, Director of ZNU Library Valentyna Gerasymova and guests of our university – Michel Duray, Director of NATO Information and Documentation Center in Ukraine, George Kent, political counselor of US Embassy in Ukraine, and Sergiy Dzherdzh, representative of All-Ukrainian Fund “Demokratychna Diya”.

Photo-exhibition “Nature Around Us” has recently taken place in Zaporizhzhya National University. The works of Alina V’yazovs’ka, second-year student of the Faculty of Biology, were represented.

The meeting for those who graduated from the Faculty of Economics between 1994-2005 was held on February 24 in ZNU building V. It started with greetings from lecturers and first-year students.

On February 27 the first issue of renovated newspaper “Zaporizhzhya University” was published.

Wolf Bloemers, coordinator of international educational program “Socrates-Erasmus” in Ukraine, Professor of Magdeburg-Stendhal University of Applied Science, Germany, makes another visit to Zaporizhzhya National University.

On February 24, participants of motor rally, organized by all-Ukrainian youth organization “Youth for Lytvyn”, visited Zaporizhzhya National University.
