On the basis of the Khortytska National Academy, a regular training session was held from representatives of the ZNU for representatives of gifted youth - participants of the Summer School of the Minor Academy of Sciences. The event on the topic "Work with information and fact checking" was held by Associate Professor of the editing and publishing department Natalia Tyapkina and Associate Professor of the theory of communication, advertising and public relations department Lyudmila Chernyavska.

Soon, the Zaporizhzhia National University will launch an introductory campaign and information on the peculiarities of entering the institution of higher education becomes relevant for entrants. According to Changes in the rules of admission to a higher educational institution, the creative score is excluded from the list of compulsory entrance examinations for admission to the specialty 061 Journalism.

These days, on the basis of the German Center at the ZNU, there was another three-day seminar for school teachers of the German language, which will work with the first-graders from the new school year. The event is coordinated by Natalia Shapochka, Senior Lecturer at the Department of German Philology and Translation Faculty of Foreign Philology.

From May 22 to May 25, in the Vietnamese city of Ho Chi Minh (Saigon), an open Asian Championship with Taekwondo WT among athletes with lesions of the musculoskeletal system rated to Paralympic Games 2020 was held.

Today, research related to the admission campaign is still relevant. Thus, according to one of such studies, the educational plans of the graduates of the city of Zaporizhzhia have become known. On May 14, 2018, the registration of those entrants who will join this year's Master’s Degree on IEE-technology will begin. This applies to admissions in the specialty of the branches of knowledge "The humanities" (except for the specialty "Philology"), "Social and behavioral sciences", "Journalism", "Law", "Sphere of service" and "International relations". Clarivate Analytics in Ukraine, within the framework of support of users, who, according to the results of the MES competition, got access to the Web of Science platform at the expense of the state budget, invites to take part in the cycle of on-line seminars, which will take place from 28 to 31 May 2018.

On May 15, the Zaporizhzhia National University hosted the election of a new membership of the Student Council. According to the results, student of the Department of Sociology and Management Maria Peresypko became the new head of student self-government at ZNU.
