Plenary session 2, rectors of Ukrainian HEIs and national companies’ representatives continued discussing power efficiency projects' implementation in universities, advanced power efficiency technologies application as well as exchanging experience and debating. The event was visited by 111 guests, among them 36 rectors from 58 higher education institutions.
Yevgen Sulima reminded that starting from 2010 the Ministry of Education and Science, Youth and Sports of Ukraine launched its incentive-related activities among rectors of Ukrainian HEIs on searching alternative opportunities to implement programmes in power efficiency.
June 1, International Scientific and Practical Conference on “Power Efficient Universities” was launched in ZNU. At the very beginning First Vice Minister Yevgen Sulima, Zaporizhzhya mayor Oleksandr Sin, Deputy Chairman of Zaporizhzhya Regional State Administration Petro Goncharuk and ZNU Acting Rector Oleksandr Bondar along with other ZNU Vice Rectors had a tour round campus building #2, where heat supply optimization system is installed.
Zaporizhzhya National University is actively engaged in implementing ‘Life-long Education’ programme, proven by the holiday under the title of ‘Graduation Prom for All’, held on May, 23 in Ukrainian-Swiss Centre ‘English for Kids’.

May 24, Dnipropetrovsk Opera and Ballet Theatre, award ceremony was held for the winners of 20th Anniversary Festival. Higher Dramatic Arts Prydniprovia Award - ‘Sicheslavna-2012’ is conferred to stage professionals, whereas ‘Sicheslavna’s Hope’ is intended for creative young dramatic professionals. The jury panel has determined 35 contest winners. This year about 20 theatres, along with 9 from Dnipropetrovsk, 5 from Zaporizhzhya, 3 from Kryvyi Rih and 2 from Dniprodzerzhinsk and Pavlograd were trying their chances for victory.
May 25, candidates to the Rector’s Office started off with presenting their election programmes. Faculty of Mathematics dean, Professor Sergiy Gomeniuk took the lead.
Early May, Komsomolsk (Poltava region), a series of traditional International Youth Forums on “Slavic League of Children’s Diplomacy” and “Song’s Tune to unify the Partners” was carried out. Within the events’ framework Charity ‘Children to children’ Festival was also undertaken. ZNU Faculty of Philology 1st year student of Russian Linguistics Oleksiy Vorozheyev became the winner in the Golden Voice nomination.
