Officially, 2017-2018 is declared the year of the German language in Ukraine and the Ukrainian language in Germany. By coincidence, this year's twenty-fifth anniversary is celebrated by the embassies of both states. That is why on the anniversary of diplomatic relations between our countries the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany announced a competition for young Ukrainians interested in the history of our countries and ready to share their impressions, thoughts, expectations and even fantasies about the development of this cooperation.

On May 15, Professor from the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland Kiron Reid hosted a lecture at the Faculty of Law of the ZNU.

On the basis of the Postgraduate Education Center of ZNU, in order to meet the need of young people in acquiring topical contemporary education, they are offered to prepare for a variety of certificate programs. Students already studying at universities or other higher educational institutions can gain additional professional knowledge and skills in the following educational programs: “Human Resource Management”, “Time Management”, and “Ukrainian Language in Business”, “Legal Translation”.

On April 25th, in the premises of the Scientific-Research Institute of Private Law and Entrepreneurship (SRIPLE) named after Academician F. Burchak of the National Academy of Legal Sciences of Ukraine (NALS of Ukraine) in Kyiv, a discussion was held on the creation of a Educational and Scientific Center for Sport Law at the Zaporizhzhia National University.

At the Faculty of Foreign Philology this week began the celebration of the Day of English Language and Culture. The event was not accidentally held on the International Day of William Shakespeare. Knowing English today is the musthave of every educated successful person, so it is not surprising that students of the Faculty of Foreign Philology study it as the first and second foreign language throughout the entire period of study. And on this day, English was the official language of communication not only at classes, but also at each break.

On April 28, Alina Klinku and Maria Donets, freshmen from the Faculty of Journalism visited Lyceum № 62 of the city of Zaporizhzhia. The event took place within the framework of vocational guidance work of the department under the direction of Associate Professor of the Depart of Communication, Advertising and Public Relations Tatiana Ivanets.

The Clarivate Analytics Company in Ukraine, in the framework of support of users who have access to the Web of Science platform at the expense of the state budget on the results of the MES competition, organizes seminars and webinars.

During the Open Door Day, university representatives have traditionally met with future entrants – senior students and graduates from schools and colleges, as well as with their parents and teachers. At the beginning of the meeting, there were two hymns - National Anthem of Ukraine and the anthem of the Zaporizhzhia National University. The first vice-rector Oleksandr Bondar congratulated the participants of the event and guests on behalf of the administration. He briefly outlined the purpose of the event – to help entrants to understand the features of ZNO-2018 and this year's introductory campaign. The updated modern site of ZNU Scientific Library is a series of design and technological solutions for organizing a quality library service and its functional content with electronic products. The Virtual Help Service is an interactive service that responds to one-time remote user requests that are related to the search for information from all branches of knowledge. This is a convenient additional opportunity for communication between the reader and the librarian. Answers to inquiries are prepared using the information resources of ZNU Scientific Library.

On April 19, students of Faculties of Journalism and Social Management of ZNU took part in a training seminar on topical isuues of European integration of Ukraine held at the Zaporizhzhia Regional State Administration. The meeting's speakers were Valeriy Kravchenko, Senior Researcher of Department of Foreign Policy and International Security from National Institute for Strategic Studies, Executive Director of the PO "Center of International Security", and Oleg Kokoshinskiy, Vice-president of the PO "Atlantic Council of Ukraine", Deputy Head of the NATO-Ukraine Civic League, a specialist from "Ukrainian Institute for Advanced Training of Television, Radio and press Workers".
