Some ten days ago a round-table meeting was held at the Faculty of Law, initiated by Undergraduate and Postgraduate Students Scientific Society. 

Annual University Competitions have come to an end. Student teams representing all ZNU faculties and the College of Economics and Law took part in the 6-sport events: draughts, chess, table tennis, volleyball, basketball and street ball. 

Following the Prospective Affairs schedule and programme of ‘Young University’ Talented School Students Scientific Society, contest in Mathematics and Computer Science was organised at the Faculty of Mathematics, which had four nominations: Best Paper in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Computer Sciences and Programming.

On the eve of Victory Day celebrations the 4^th Basketball Championship was held between student basketball teams, with participation of teams from ZNU, Sumy State University, Chornomorskyi Petro Mohyla State University (Mykolaiv) and Chernivtsi Trade and Economics Institute of Kyiv National Trade and Economics University.

May, 7^th at Sovetskaya square, the place where monument is erected to tank crew of Soviet Union Hero Mykola Yatsenko, a solemn requiem meeting was held, attended by veterans, officials from local authorities, HEIs, secondary schools and military lyceum.

May, 7^th within the framework of Victory Day celebrations University students met with veterans of Great Patriotic War. The meeting was organised by Centre for after-class and cultural affairs and hosted by ZNU Student Council chairman and student of Journalism Andriy Bondarenko.

It is not the first year that Faculty of Biology students are involved in annual ‘Clean Environment’ Action. Within the action framework students of Biology clean up Khortytsia island, ZNU biological research centre, Children’s Railway Station and ZNU campus premises.

April, 29 Zaporizhzhya National University welcomed prospective students within its walls. School graduates and their parents had opportunity to communicate with the University top administration officials and deans and get responses regarding admission procedure and 2012 enrollment specifics. To get more information on education peculiarities the guests referred to ZNU professors and students. Later tour across ZNU campus was arranged for the attendees.

Basketball teams from Petro Mohyla State University (Chornomorsk),Sumy State University, Chernivtsi Trade and Economics Institute and Zaporizhzhya National University participated in the championship
