Faculty of History visited the Head of the Committee for Historical and Cultural Heritage of the Union of Armenians of Ukraine, who gave the students a lecture on the historical ties between the two countries, and also spoke about famous Armenians of Ukraine.
November 7 Zaporizhzhya National University visited D.Sc. in Philosophy, lecturer of the Institute of International Relations of Kyiv National University named after Taras Shevchenko, graduate of our university Andrii Paziuk. During the meeting with students of the Faculties of History and Law as well as the Faculty of Journalism, national scientist was held lecture-presentation "Informational aggression and prospects of international law: "Ukraine against Russia"".
Last week at the Faculty of History was held a students' scientific conference and the first meeting of the film club. Events were devoted to landmark date - Ukraine's liberation from the Nazi occupation (October 28, 1944, in the course of the Carpathian-Uzhgorod offensive was finally liberated in the current borders of Ukraine). The event initiated by the Department of Modern History of Ukraine and the Scientific Community of Students, Postgraduates, Doctoral Candidates and Young Scientists of the Faculty of History of ZNU.
October 30 at the Faculty of History of ZNU began ten days dedicated the key moments of the historical development of Europe during the twentieth century. As part of the exhibition "The dictatorship and democracy in the age of extremes", prepared by the Munich Institute for Contemporary History, radio "Deutschlandradio Kultur" Research Foundation and the Federal dictatorship of the Socialist Unity Party of Germany. Materials were kindly provided by the German Embassy in Ukraine.
The final - fourth day of the freshmen contest "Let me introduce myself, 1st year!". Consisted of performances of the most talented students of Historical, Biological and Faculty of Foreign Languages. Now the jury will select the brightest numbers from all Faculties of ZNU gala concert which will be held November 17 to celebrate the International Students' Day.
October 17 on the basis of the Faculty of History of Zaporizhzhya National University was held the All-Ukrainian Conference "Sixth Novitsky reading". The conference was attended by scientists from the south-eastern region: from Dnepropetrovsk, Kherson, Berdyansk, Melitopol, Mariupol, Yalta, Simferopol, Zaporizhzhya and Kyiv.
October 14 at the Faculty of History of Zaporizhzhya National University held a presentation of ninth edition of the series "Forgotten Diaries" dedicated to the 70th anniversary of Ukraine's liberation from fascist invaders.
