6 February in ZNU started two days International Scientific Conference "Global political and military conflict in the twentieth century: global and regional dimension (up to 100 anniversary of the First World War)".The international conference participants on the history discussed the causes and impact of World War I on the development of countries in the beginning of XXI century.

December 24 at the Historical Faculty held a traditional celebration of the Day of workers of archival institutions. Organizers of the festival were the students of the specialty "Archives Studies" and the teachers of the Department of Source Studies, Historiography and Special Historical Courses.
In early December, the members of the Scientific Community of Students and Postgraduates of the Faculty of History of ZNU held a roundtable discussion on "The Contribution of the Scientific Community of Taras Shevchenko in the formation of national science (to the 140th anniversary since its foundation)".
November 29 at Historical Faculty of ZNU held practical seminar for teachers of Zaporizhzhya schools. It organized and conducted by representatives of the Faculty of History and the Preparatory Department of our university to train teachers and students in schools in the annual contest, the final and preliminary measures provided by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.
In late October, students of the Faculty of History of ZNU visited the world's largest Jewish center "Menorah" which occupies three floors of the Museum of Jewish history and the Holocaust in Ukraine. This interesting format studying of the history was implemented on the initiative of Ph.D. in History, professor Alexander Davletov.
99 young specialists trained this year at the Faculty of History of ZNU. 22 of them received diplomas cum laude.
Today ZNU has been held the Ukrainian scientific conference “Steppe Ukraine History of XVIII-XX century “, dedicated to the memory of the founder of this historiographic research direction professor Anatoliy Boyko. The event was organized by Zaporizhzhya National University, J. Nowicki Zaporizhzhya Scientific Society, M.S. Grushevsky Ukrainian Institute of Archeology and Source Studies of National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Ukrainian Institute of National Memory and Zaporizhzhya branch of the Kovalskykh Eastern Institute of Ukrainian Studies.
April 19 at the Faculty of History of Zaporizhzhya National University hosted an international scientific Internet conference "Historical science in the university: research areas, projects, problems (for example, university of southern Ukraine and Russia)".
