The 8th students' "Christmas Readings" gathered about 200 young scientists of the Faculty of Foreign Philology

On December 24 at the Faculty of Foreign Philology of Zaporizhzhya National University for the eighth time held a traditional scientific event - inter-university student conference "Christmas readings". This year to discuss topical issues of learning foreign languages, literature, translation and teaching methodology in schools have expressed a desire about 200 students and high school students in our region.

Students of ZNU held the training on the teambuilding

March 5, at the Zaporizhzhya National University in the "Language cafe" held a training, which focused on mechanisms of combining team. At the event was attended by Student Council members of ZNU Olha Lebedieva, Krystyna Marchenko, Mariia Vasyleha, and also representatives of Student Councils and representatives of the Faculty of Law, Faculty of History, Faculty of Philology and Faculty of Foreign Languages. The event was organized by the Psychological sector of Student Council of ZNU.

Holiday of English phonetics combined freshmen and 3rd year students of the Faculty of Foreign Languages

November 28 at the Faculty of Foreign Languages was held a regular holiday of English phonetics, which traditionally prepare 3rd year students within the discipline "Theoretical Phonetics". The event is for first-year students of the Faculty who teach the subject "Practical Phonetics".

At the Faculty of Foreign Languages Cinema Club resumed its work under the guidance of the lecturer of the Department of Romance Philology and Translation Jean-Luc Issle. In the regular meeting also took part trainee of the University of Maine (Le Mans, France) Kevin Dubois and teachers of both Departments where French is taught - Department of Romance Philology and Translation, in particular, its assistant Nadiia Povalikhina, and the Department of second foreign language of ZNU.

Renowned scientist Ivan Bekhta was held a lecture for the students of the Faculty of Foreign Languages

October 30 famous Ukrainian scientist, D.Sc. in Philology, professor Ivan Bekhta was held a lecture on "Text and Discourse" for students of 4th-5th years of the Faculty of Foreign Languages of ZNU. Lectures, conducted in English, was organized at a high scientific level, have interactive and interdisciplinary character allowing students to understand the current concepts of text and discourse.

At the Faculty of Foreign Languages renewed its work «Speaking club»

Student Government of Zaporizhzhya National University tries to encourage as many of their peers in intensive foreign languages study. Representatives not only of university Students' Council, but individual Faculties approach to the creative student community representatives argue that to study language can not only during classes, but together. Thus, at the Faculty of Foreign Languages resumed its work «Speaking club», which started its activities on the initiative of the students in the spring of the last year.

FLD's Christmas Readings Gathered Over Hundred Zaporizhzhya Scientists

On December 8 in Zaporizhzhya National University there was the Interuniversity Student scientific and Practical Conference "Christmas Readings". It is the fifth time this conference is being organized at the Department of Foreign Languages. This year 115 participants' applications were received.
