Lecturers from ZNU met with their colleagues from the Erasmus+ KA2 BEAUCOUP project

The starting online meeting as part of the Erasmus+ KA2 BEAUCOUP project brought together representatives from three countries – Ukraine, Azerbaijan and Estonia. Around 160 participants from various educational institutions – including Zaporizhzhia National University (ZNU), V. Hnatiuk Ternopil National Pedagogical University, V. Korolenko Poltava National Pedagogical University, M. Kotsyubynsky Vinnytsia State Pedagogical University, Khazar University (Baku), Mingachevir State University, and the Nakhchivan Pedagogical Institute – joined the programme in order to acquire the knowledge needed to meet today’s challenges, particularly in teaching, and to continuously improve themselves in line with the demands of the digital age.

MultiED partners held workshops on sharing experiences

From September 26 to October 30, 2023, a number of seminars were held in the framework of the project "Foreign Language Teacher Training Capacity Development as a Way to Ukraine’s Multilingual Education and European Integration" with the aim of spreading experience based on the results of the project implementation. This time, the partners focused on the positive impact of the project on the educational activities of universities at the current stage and in the future, the development of programs at different levels, the specifics of their implementation, the main difficulties and ways to overcome them. An important topic remains the teaching method, the use of online learning technologies, the CLIL methodology, as well as the specifics of teaching new courses developed during the period of cooperation of the consortium: "Language, culture, society", "Academic writing", "Information literacy and critical thinking".

The representatives of Zaporizhzhia National University presented ZNU team during LTT visit in Slovenia

The representatives of Zaporizhzhia National University Olga Stadnichenko, professor, head of the Department of Ukrainian Studies, and Iryna Bakalenko, associate professor of the Department of the Ukrainian Literature presented ZNU team during LTT visit within the framework of the Erasmus+ project 2022-1-EE01-KA220-HED-000089331 eRead “Developing Reading Skills With and Through Digital Technologies”. The event took place on October 9-13, 2023 in the city of Koper (Slovenia). As eRead aims at popularizing national languages (Ukrainian, Estonian, Latvian, Slovenian) through the development of reading skills on digital platforms, the purpose of the visit was to share experiences in teaching reading with the use of digital technologies.

Two Erasmus+ KA2 projects under the ‘Capacity Building in Higher Education’ strand, in which ZNU is a participant, have won

The project Boosting Digital Excellence and Aptitude of Universities in the Countries of East Partnership  (‘BEAUCOUP’) comprises a consortium of 17 partners from six countries. These are Estonia (University of Tartu – project coordinator), Poland (University of Gdańsk), Slovenia (University of Primorska, Koper), Spain (Polytechnic University of Valencia), Azerbaijan (Khazar University, Baku), Mingachevir State University, Nakhchivan Pedagogical Institute) and Ukrainian higher education institutions: Zaporizhzhia National University, V. Hnatiuk Ternopil National Pedagogical University, V. Korolenko Poltava National Pedagogical University, M. Kotsyubynsky Vinnytsia State Pedagogical University, as well as the Ministries of Education and Science of Ukraine and Azerbaijan, a secondary school (Estonia), two kindergartens (Estonia, Slovenia) and the company ‘EdTech Estonia’.

ZNU Erasmus+ eRead project team met online with partners to discuss the project implementation details

The meeting on May 31, 2023 in a videoconference format was devoted to the elaboration of BA module “Teaching Reading Digitally”. The entire ZNU team led by the manager M.Zaluzhna actively participated in the discussion of the ways to develop the future module. The partners decided to read the publications devoted to methods of teaching languages, to review the latest developments in the field of digital reading and the applications that improve reading skills. They agreed to create a common bank of materials to use within the project, and to share their knowledge as well as their own experiences of teaching reading in national languages.

eRead Kick-off meeting, Narva College of the University of Tartu

Zaporizhia National University took part in the kick-off meeting of the Erasmus+ project" Developing Reading Skills With and Through Digital Technologies" (eRead), which took place at Narva College of the University of Tartu on March 13-14, 2023. ZNU was represented by the associate professor of the English Philology and Linguistic Didactics Department, project manager Maryna Zaluzhna, and associate professor of the Department of International Economy, Natural Resources and Economics of International Tourism Natalia Venherska. Other ZNU team members joined the meeting in online format.

The Faculty of Journalism of ZNU summarizes the participation in the international project Erasmus+ KA2 DESTIN

The representatives of the Department of Journalism of ZNU returned from Poznań (Poland), where the final meeting of the governing board of the international project of the European Union ERASMUS+KA2 "Journalism Education for Democracy in Ukraine: Developing Standards, Integrity and Professionalism" (DESTIN) was held at the Adam Mickiewicz University. The dean of the Faculty of Journalism, Viktor Kostyuk, and associate professors of the Department of Journalism, Yulia Liubchenko and Olena Usmanova represented ZNU team.
