On May 12 at the Journalism department there was the Regional Scientific and Practical Conference State and Perspectives of Development of the Regional Press. The students and teachers prepared papers for five conference sessions.
The Dean Volodymyr Manakin presented the speech «The Phenomenon of Verbal Influence in Social Communication» at the conference opening.
Within the conference sessions the pupils of the Sich Collegium and the members of the "Young University" Project, who participated in the ZNU Science Festival and "Young Science-2011" conference, were awarded with certificates. 
The presentations of the perspectives of the Porogy informational web-portal and the SSSG of the Journalism Department followed the awarding procedure. The opening of the Journalism Investigations School, publishing the collected articles of Young Science-2011 conference and other projects are planned for the future.
